Hakstol fired in Seattle. I was expecting Francis to get fired. I guess he saved his butt, for now If they fired Francis, the Hawks should scoop him up as Pres of Hockey Ops. Im not a fan of Francis at all. Didnt like him in Carolina, he botched the expansion draft, and last yr was a fluke. Lets see how this offseason goes. He might be gone if the Kraken have a bad start next season

pete deboer's comment about all the coaching changes.
"It’s insanity. We coach in an age where everyone talks about the modern athlete, building relationships in order to coach them. How do you do that with that kind of turnover? It’s like going on a date and getting married and divorced before the appetizers show up. I don’t get it. But that’s the world we live in.’’

when does the Shanaplan get canned? idk...i thought if they were going to fire him, they'd have announced it the same time they announced the coach's firing.

You'd think you'd hear more noise about Gerard Gallant.....no?

You'd think you'd hear more noise about Gerard Gallant.....no? I've seen him mentioned as a candidate for the loafs. I'd say his "difficult personality" is likely limiting his prospects at this point. how many times has he been hired and only lasted a couple seasons now? seems like a good coach to me but apparently he wears out his welcome swiftly...

The other 1st round pick (9th overall) from 2023 is going to be a stud too, Nate Danielson who is dominating the WHL playoffs and will fit nicely into 2LC right after Larkin.

Bedard said Danielson was the toughest player he played against. Not sure what his offensive ceiling will be, but a big center who plays a great and responsible 200' with high compete level. These types of players might not win any scoring titles, but they help you win in the playoffs. I am still hopeful Greene could/will be that player for us.

He (Danielson) is just one of those players that help you win.

Some juicy headlines today;
“Todd Mclellan had interviewed with the Devils and Jets”
“Hurricanes not expected to re-sign Brett Pesce and Martin Necas (expected to re-sign Jake Guentzel)”
“Maple leafs among teams monitoring Brindamour’s availability”
“Predators have shown interest on Mitch Marner”

If he’s available for a song, I say get him. I see no reason not to. He’s 25 and I’d give him a 5 year 30+ million deal. He basically doubles his salary. He’s huge and plays tough minutes. A big right shot center is just what the team needs. This way one or both of Nazar and Moore can hit the wings. This is exactly what I want to see. Pesce is another guy I’d love to see in Chicago. He’s a right shot D that can put up 35-40 points. A great player to play along side KK. If they’re not signing either. I’d definitely inquire on them both before July 1 and hopefully make a trade to their rights. I’d even give Pesce a 5 year 25 million deal. He instantly makes the Hawks better and gives them time to develop some younger kids. Then in the 2025 draft the Hawks can target the best available rhd. And develop him. I think those are great moves if they can be done!!!
