From NHL66 site today:
Good News: Our Feeds are almost as good as they were last season with no geo limitations. We even have a higher quality rendition.
There are still some known bugs, and there is also the unfortunate possibility that this is not something we can keep up for much longer. We still don't know as the system is quite new.

Damn it all, my Firestick apps I used to watch games have been shut down. First game I missed in a long time. I gotta figure something out quick or go to a bar to watch games.

Slumming it with these shady websites not an option? Nothing's perfect/guaranteed but i think they're reasonably safe. Been using them for years without virus protection with very little if any dramas.

I've been using NHL66 primarily for the past 2 seasons with no apparent issues. They've been having challenges getting it set up this season, but seem to be close to having the issues fixed. Saturday I missed most of the 1st until they got it on. Yesterday I missed the first minute and a half. Picture has been fantastic with no buffering issues. They also have a premium service you an pay for, so that makes me feel a bit more comfortable using them as those who do pay likely wouldn't do so if there were any major threats.

Been using them for years without virus protection with very little if any dramas. Yeah, I can try them I guess. I just hate watching games on a computer monitor instead of the big screen. Anyone of you out of towners use a paid service like ESPN or NHL network to get the games?

I have espn+. used gamecenter prior to that since I moved outta the city before 15-16 season. the blackout policy on both still pisses me off, but I just have the special lady find it for me on the PC when that happens. espn+ is handy at work or when I'm busy cuz I can watch it on the phone. I also have the NHL app so I can listen to the radio broadcast at work if it isn't on espn+...

Yeah. I have ESPN+. I have the choice of Home/Away broadcasts, unless it was a ESPN+ exclusive in which I had to suffer through Leah Hextall, who is on par with Cheesedick in terms of on-air likability. The only blackouts I get is if the game is televised on cable/broadcast--like ESPN/ABC/TNT. I can say for certain that ESPN+ can work on devices, like FireTV/Xbox/etc. I don't have a smartTV but if you havem one that has the ESPN app, you might be able to pull the games in that way.

I used to use the ps4, but now I just load the app on the tube when we arrive there and use it that way. always nice to watch the 'hawks broadcast (and fun to watch the commercials from Chicago, especially the political ads, and compare them to the ones on the local tv wherever we are at the time).

I used Center Ice for many years when the Hawks were good and I thought it was excellent as it allowed me to record games on my DVR. This year it only costs $70 for the whole year and gives you almost all the games. I thought it was going to be a horrible team and didn't want to cough up even the $70 to watch them. I may have to reconsider for the second half of the season. I hate watching games on the streaming sites and being compelled to watch commercials. Altho, the two GT provided a couple of years allowed me to record what they presented and I got to blow through commercials.

Cool to know about Center Ice. I didn't even know they were still around. That might be the best idea if I can use it straight from the TV.

I've watched the nhlwebcast last 3 game's, with not to many small glitches, last game, the home was away broadcast, and the others didn't work, but, I wanted to mention, on the right, there is a chat room for all the games, they have a monitor, who seems to be there all the time, and when someone there brings up issues, the monitor person usually addresses the issue and fixes it, if that means anything.

I remember last year a lot of people were complaining that Center Ice was blacked out when ESPN+ was carrying the game, exclusively. My $0.02 is to try to get ESPN+ working on a TV since CI might have games blacked out that you could only get on ESPN+; assuming you are against greymarket streams.

There's the thing this year, both are charging half of what they charged last year. So you almost need both to get all the games you got with one or the other. In my case I don't get Hawk games home or away since Dishnet no longer carries NBCsports chicago. Unless the game is on TNT, then I get to see it. Still blacked out if the game is on espn or centerice.

I got every game on ESPN+, If it was on CI it wasn't blacked out on ESPN+, only if it was ABC, ESPN, or TNT...or Root sports which does the Kraken games, but I think that's local.

So if I were to get just one, I'd probably get the most games on ESPN+? Yes, I have ESPN+ and get almost all the games and in most cases both home and road broadcasts. I have Hulu+ so I get Hulu live TV, ESPN+ and Disney for $69.99 plus my local tax in the Nashville area. With Hulu Live get ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and TNT.

Because I am a tech idiot, I am guessing you can get CI straight from the TV. Mine was provided by my cable provider. And, as said below, there are times, although infrequent, that the CI games are blacked out when ESPN+ is doing an exclusive broadcast. That might not happen much with a team like the Hawks, altho I don't really know.
