Crosby takes a slapshot that hits Malkin in the knee. Puck goes in the net, Malkin helped off the ice to the locker room Too bad that Kane and Toews can't put together a routine like that. Which one do you want to see helped off the ice?

No skin off my old ass but IMO,you either let Mitchell run up numbers in Rockford of give him minutes, including #1 PP minutes if he's up. Seriously.....what's to lose? Can making rookie D-man mistakes possibly look worse than sitting in favor of half of this D group?

I was only referring to an odd means of scoring a goal, something which is severely lacking with this team. But, I can understand how you misunderstood my intent. Believe me, I have nothing against either K or T and certainly don't want to see either hurt. My bad.

It looks like the Hawks are trying to win games 2:1 or 3:2; however, they can neither keep the opposition from scoring nor can they score themselves, giving how they've been running their offense. I think that if they opened up their game a little, as well as played a more simplified north-south hockey, they would (a) become a more interesting team to watch (b) score a few more goals (c) probably not give up any more goals. There are certainly some players with speed on the Hawks who can push up the tempo.

Can making rookie D-man mistakes possibly look worse than sitting in favor of half of this D group? That was my argument through 2018. I agree wholeheartedly for Mitchell--he probably isn't that important of a piece in the rebuild, but he's not worse than Jones or Johnson. Let him get his game and if he does become all that, great!
