hard to believe that no other blackhawk's goalie (or black hawk's goalie) in franchise history has won their first 3 starts. did i hear that right? Missed that stat. Does that mean as a Blackhawk goalie starting his NHL career or any goalie, even a vet, as a Blackhawk starter? Probably rookie I’m guessing. it was rookie. it's something that most likely will be on twitter if true.

not bad for a 4th stringer. or was it 5th stringer?
pretty amazing.
i believe he's just the 6th rookie NHL goalie to win his first 3 starts.

Guess one of those first 3 games was a tie. aye. his 2nd game he tied st. loo two to two. edit: jeez....veisor was 5'8" and 158 pounds and i don't remember him as a small goalie somehow.

stauber had an off night but still, after 3 games now his numbers are still pretty shiny.
3-0-0, .925 and 2.29.
i should say an "off" night by his early standards. he did make some nice saves at crucial times.

Another nice crowd glad the boys got the win after Jax had that flub before the 3rd yotes goal. Gotta ask on C. Jones penalty at what point do offensive players get called for grabbing with there off hand? I still dont think 51 is an everyday NHL Dman but him and 82 have not been the shitsandwich I thought they would be. Well the Jets should get the Hawks back on track.

Nice goal by Caleb, but man it seems he can't go a game without a dumb penalty.

That was a smart move to get the win. Nothing like further jeopardizing any chance for revival. That win was the icing on the Tarasenko cake.

That win was the icing on the Tarasenko cake. they aren't beating columbus to the bottom, anyway. can't get any lower than the asshole of america. fitting that they'll have the worst record this year when they were supposed to be improved. I REALLY hope the league has enough sense not to let a player like Bedard get stuck there. that'd be as big of a waste as McDavid in Edmonton...

Of course, I understand how a coach/GM cannot tell the players to lose. However, given the major f-ups of this org in the past, how can one not be unhappy with any win by this team that in the words of Social Distortion is born to lose and destined to fail. And don't bother telling me how any other first round pick will make this a better team than Bedard would.

Yeah, Johnny Hockey knew how to pick a team when he bailed on the Shames. Who knows, maybe JH and Bedard will revive the franchise. Or, maybe, lol, the Hawks will steal the lottery after finishing 2d or 3d worst in the league.

IMO, they will need someone who will dominate in order to be Cup competitive. However, I guess it is possible that they will ice a decent team with some decent players who will play pretty well together. But, then they will be like this year's edition of the Kraken---a team that will give a good performance but will not be winning any Cups soon because they have no stars. Gotta have two, or three, stars on a team to win a Cup and the Hawks will not likely be lighting the up the firmament any time soon without Bedard.

Sure they can still get first pick with a finish at 2d or 3d worst team in the league. But, why not finish dead last and max the chances? Enough of this winning nonsense and no trades yet for Kane and Toews. If it is so hard to win the lottery and get Bedard, then they better trade Kane and Toews and get some more decent draft picks or rapidly developing new NHL players in order to fill out their starless roster with 50 point guys and decent dmen. Oh yeah, they will need a goalie also. No problems----it is all coming together.

(i'm not counting the 2005 draft year) if i've counted right, only 13 times out of 27 drafts has the worst team overall picked first. so, nearly 52% of the time a team that wasn't dead last got the 1st overall. of course, the last few seasons it's harder for the last place team to get the 1st pick due to rule changes in the lottery system. for that reason i wouldn't put a lot of stock in those numbers. but your guess was spot on. www.tsn.ca/history-of-the-nhl-draft-lottery-1.236014

As you and others have pointed out, the franchise has cratered so it’s going to take time to get this done. But some of the picks so far look promising and more are likely to come soon. Certainly no guarantees but just saying they’ve taken some good first steps.

No vets moved at the last TDL,no vets moved last summer for return(more added instead?)and no vets moved up to this point in the season either.......this TDL HAS to be better than last year's!!!
