Score here or they won’t score again. this game? If a Blackhawk scores and there’s no one around to see it, did it happen? I’ve caught maybe half this game.

I’ve caught maybe half this game. it won't get much better than tonight's game. the effort was there but there's just no talent (obviously). same as me...i might as well have had the radio broadcast on. i actually found refreshing the hogs' boxscore every minute or 2 more entertaining than the hawks' game. and by the way...you're welcome for that sedgeway into page 2. : )

englund with 9 of chicago's 27 hits tonight despite the least minutes among our defensemen minutes (15:12).

i think it's something to do with the city of chicago's 186th birthday. 186th? Seems a strange number to celebrate. The sweaters themselves aren’t bad. When the product on the ice is awful you have to do everything you can the only time it got loud there tonight was during the tv time out. Im sure they will have special jerseys Monday also. Only way to get people to by stuff different jersey with no name on the back.

He's a big viking. i can't drag in the picture of him but if you go to his site below and look at his head shot, his bloody neck is wider than his head. with a neck like that, i can only imagine how ripped the rest of him is. www.nhl.com/player/andreas-englund-8477971

First game I can remember where there were two boarding calls in one period. And then things went downhill from there.

I didn't even realize they were playing Saturday. So, I went to the ESPN box score where they publish the attendance. Looks like the Hawks have a pretty loyal fan base. They had almost 19,000 people to see the hapless Hawks. That was an eye opener, at least for me.

The next 2 years will probably see a drastic drop in those numbers unless the draft shows large gains in future talent.

You might be right T-man but the gentrification of the area around the UC over the last decade or so has resulted in a lot of young professionals living closer and many new bars/restaurants in the area bring-in even more nightlife. A tanking team full of veterans again next year certainly ISN'T a draw in itself but I still see 14-15K as the attendance floor with all the expendable/entertainment money now in the area. Will how much 'entertainment' those fans get for their expendable income be a factor? It hasn't been for the Bears and Cubs historically.

The Preds extended Lankinen Friday and he's played well in his limited opportunities, why NOT start him against his old team? I know he got the 2-1 win in Fla Thursday night(stopping 30 of 31)but statring him again against the lowest scoring team in the league gives an overworked Saros a full week off too.
