let's ask the important question here: who on here is the person who dropped $37k on that Bedard game worn rookie sweater in the foundation auction? fess up. and also fly us all to Chicago for a game next season.
* meekly raises hand

Well ... apparently the horse wasn't completely dead - so here's some more commentary on the topic. LR was asked in an interview today about Bedard's off season training and he said a few things but a takeaway was his comment Bedard needs to work on his explosiveness and endurance. At the beginning of the season Bedard was asked a bunch of random questions with two answers, for weights or cardio he said weights, I'm sure he's now realizing he also needs cardio because an NHL season is grueling, especially the playoffs. Doesn't it boggle the mind to think there was a time when a trip to 'Don Roth's for a giant piece of dead cow ass and a half dozen Crown Royal's n water and maybe a few smokes afterward replenished an NHL player for the grueling action to come?

Do we see the 'bubble' again next year? Doubt it, I am pretty sure he was advised by his doctors to let that jaw fully heal. I know,just a little ribbin'. We're incredibly fortunate to have the kid!!!

Watched Canada's practice game against Hungary today which they won 4-0 with Bedard picking up 2 primary assists. He made a few other nice passing plays that didn't end up scoring but he looks very comfortable and very Bedard-like.
Fantilli wasn't in the lineup and I saw Celebrini in the first period but I don't think he played after that. I saw after the game that Team Canada decided to send Fantilli and Celebrini home because Hagel and Paul are getting added to the team. Hopefully the same doesn't happen with Bedard as more NHL'ers decide to play in the WC.

But if they asked them to be there, they’re on the team. First come first serve!!!

They were given the option to remain or to go home. Both chose to go home. As their roles were going to be changed due to others joining!!!

The original report I read just said they were sent home, didn't know it was optional. But the official report from team Canada explained it better and you're right.
