Hogs have gotten lots of reinforcements lately, they should be a contender at this point.

T.J. got the goal but if you still need an undersized center/winger this guy should get a shot again…smart player and red hot in Rockford…

Bad decision Bedard, but good on getting back on D and not giving up.

Bedard is lucky the Blackhawks aren't in danger of making the playoffs any time soon. He can't grow a beard yet.

Bad decision Bedard, but good on getting back on D and not giving up. Frustrated and that’s probably the only way he can show it. He’s a thoroughbred hitched up to an apple cart.

It’s one thing to lose to Colorado and get dominated the entire game, but this is a Washington team that is a shell of there old self and the Hawks get thoroughly dominated again. I am not sure what KD has up its sleeves for next season, but it can’t be this bad. Many have compared this team to 2006, but I honestly think this is the worst hawks team I have ever witnessed in 40 years I have been a fan.

they're discussing it post game on the radio now as well...if there's one thing that bothers me about bedard is when he starts beating the inside of the boards in frustration when he's on the bench. luke said something about it on twitter a few days back (can't find it now) about not letting the other team see that things are getting to you so to some extent i think it bothers him as well. yes...he's still a kid basically and it's easy for me to bitch but i'd really just prefer it if he didn't let his emotions show like that.
mini-rant complete.

I think he is starting to lose a bit of confidence. For this reason, I think the Hawks need to acquire a highly skilled winger for his line. Someone who is 22-25 yrs old who will be there a good long while. Another season like this one and he might just tell Kyle to trade him.

This team needs a Protas.
And I liked Grimson in the booth and John Scott with Boyle and wish it would be permanent. They both have a lot more to add than Caley.

Whether 2024 or 2006 is the worse team is somewhat irrelevant, altho the comparison is interesting. All I can say is that all these draft picks better turn into NHL stars; or this team ain't gonna get much better than it is now. It will get better, but by how much depends on these seedlings turning into stout oaks.

He's about the only one doing anything worthwhile. So, he tries to do it all himself. He gets his pocket picked. But, unlike a lot of past and current players, he gets his ass back to try to prevent an odd-man rush. That last part is salient.

I've suggested trying to acquire the massive 23yro forward, the Caps really could have used somebody taking all of Kuznetsov's 7.8M next year and they don't possess a 1st round pick in any of the next three drafts. Don't look now but Washington has flipped the script, they are no longer full of aging players on bad contracts. Strome,Milano and Abu-Kubel are all 27,Malenstyn's 26,1st rounder McMichael and Protus are 23,1st rounder Lapierre's 22 and 1st round pick Miroshnichenko's 20. They also have two 24yro D-men that came in the 1st round. Tom Wilson is still only 29. Kuznetsov's deal is half gone for only one more and Ovi and Carlsson only have two left,Backstrom's remaining one year can be LTIR'd. Their young HC has also done a great job of holding that team together w/o Backstrom,Kuznetsov,Oshie and Dowd.
