Sometimes the biggest thing taking a scoring chance away from Bedard is Bedard himself.

That at least was some nice passing.

i'm pretty sure this year's edition is the worst hawk's team i've witnessed in my lifetime. but i'm 100% sure it's the most offensively inept.

32 saves on 34 shots. O failed to show up.
Mrazek should be pissed.

Probably Bedard’s worst game. He looked like 58 not 98 when he had the puck.

In honor of the NCAA tournament, if Arizona gets a point tonight, the Hawks are officially in the Final 4

Yuck. A big fat yuck. It's one thing to lose - kinda used to that - but it's another thing to lose AND have Bedard play so poorly. And yes - his linemates/teammates are a BIG part of the problem but calling a spade a spade - Bedard stunk tonight.
And as long as I'm knocking down our supposed top prospects - Reichel is the proverbial 98 pound weakling. Maybe he should consider putting 20 pounds of sand in his britches so he's a little more difficult to knock out of the way or off his feet. I know he's still too young to give up on him but I'm about done hoping he turns into anything more than a bust. I wish him well in his hockey career as a speedy Euro player back home in Germany.

Well that was fun. Good chance we dont win again this year. 2nd time in 3 games 98 was put to the wing. Would like to know Lukes thinking. Rough game for 98. Not many players interested brining the team into the fight. oh well 9 to go.

As little as they had the puck, somehow they still got outhit.
And as said above, Mrazek should be really pissed, especially since one of the two goals went off Zeitsev's hand.

The Sens did what they had to do to win - shut down #98 and the Hawks have nothing.

Bedards slipping a little lately Yeah, rough game by him. Not only the turnover, but in the 3rd, had an easy opportunity to just shoot the puck on net, but tries to make a move around the d-man, which was easily neutralized, leading to another turnover. Reichel and Athanisiou have some jump in their games lately, but like usual, it doesn't really go anywhere. Reichel was absolutely lit up along the boards, which the announcers completely missed or just didn't think it deserved mentioning (for whatever reason). Nice resiliency to bounce back from that and not even miss a shift. Foligno was hitting everything that moved last night. Unfortunately, he was the only one that was ready to play last night.

I was fairly high on Riechel coming into the year but at this point,I'd play him with Bedard the rest of the way in hopes of getting SOME numbers and some team's attention. Who knows, maybe somebody bites at his age because he's looking more like sweetener to me than anything else at this point.

Probably for the best, pick wise The ONLY thing that matters this year,a top three pick in every round to go along with an extra 1st,two extra 2nd's and an extra 3rd! This is a HUGE draft for the young GM because it'll be the 3rd consecutive draft CHOCK FULL of high picks and should set the team's direction, along with the past two and Bedard. And whatever DUMBASS left,Vlasic himself helps relieve some of the past stench, another quality player or two from the past regime would be real gravy. I don't get the frustrations over the day-to-day goings on,it was another tank season, like it or not and we saw two young D-men look good to very good and Bedard is as advertised. How's that for an old sour puss?

How's that for an old sour puss? You may be an old sour puss - but you're OUR old sour puss. And you're right about the silliness of getting frustrated about something we all knew in advance was going to happen. My frustration ebbs and flows and really isn't caused by losing games - it's caused by the cumulative effect of having to watch the inept play of the veterans game after game - coupled with the occasional disappointment of seeing our future hopes struggling in a game here and there.

How's that for an old sour puss? I can't stand the last guy but there's some good players who could be a part of the future. You mentioned Vlasic but there's also Kurashev, who's having a career season. Plus there's the 3 who won gold with Bedard and Korchinski, Del Mastro, Allan, and Dach, plus Slaggert is looking good. Crevier, Phillips, and Kaiser have potential, as well as Harding. They all won't make it but they could be used in trades. Another terrible season is almost over, hopefully it's the last for a very long time.

Once again Seth Jones the cause of a SHG. 23 did no one any favors putting the puck where he did. I won't disagree that 23 should have passed better, but I don't think any other D-man on the team, not even Megna, flubs the play like Jones did there. This loss was squarely on Jones and Bedard's shoulders--not just because they made Timbits™-level decisions with the puck and hung Mrazek out to dry, but neither of them tried to atone for the clusterfuckery they caused. If they ended up with Cheez-whiz in their skates after the game, it would have been justified. Now here's hoping they see the err of their ways and play better next game.

He should've kept it going forward to Bedard, but then Jones panicked. But the worst play was Jojes backing off the shooter, they were on the PP and had the numbers, Kurashev had his man covered but Jones played it like a 2 on 1.
