the bruins have played like warmed over dog shit their last few games and I feel ike the loafs will have a looser grip in this round having won a round (finally) last spring.

Leafs in 6. I wish Leafs a bit of a success in their longterm slumber. They're better at center, but the goaltending... come on...

Leafs being the leafs.

Pretty tight game I thought despite the score. Samsonov wasn't bad but goaltending was still the difference. Stupid penalties didn't help either. Leafs are perennial slow starters under Keefe so we will see what happens.

It is amazing how the playoffs are just a different game, more hitting & intensity. I believe the hits in just the first period equal the whole game of Isles and Canes. Just do not see how the Leafs beat the Bruins 4 times.

Just do not see how the Leafs beat the Bruins 4 times. Don't quote me but I read somewhere that they combined for 48 hits in the first period which equalled the record for most hits in the first period of any game in the 23/24 regular season...which was set in a game between the leafs and Boston.

Why would the bruins change goalies for this game 2?
Swayman looked good last game.

Why would the bruins change goalies for this game 2? Swayman looked good last game. They've been doing it since February and I guess it's worked for them. If it ain't broke... I'm not too surprised by this, and I wouldn't have been surprised if swayman started either. I reckon as soon as one stumbles they'll likely abandon alternating goalies.

Leafs just gave a brutal late goal in first period and now are losing after a pretty dominant first period.

Boy hate him or like him Marchand rises to the occasion. except for when he is playing the blows in the Final. I'll never forgive that Boston team for losing that series, at home no less...

I guess one has to take some pity on the Leafs for not having Nylander. However, they sure do fail to achieve their firepower potential when it comes to scoring. But, that might have something to do with Boston's defense and goaltending. Still, the Leafs don't achieve like it appears they should.

lot of talking heads out there that said this little shoulder domi put on swayman actually sparked the bruins.
that's always been the trouble with max domi...he never knows when to pick his spots. same could be said for bertuzzi.
swayman did go down awfully easy though....
nylander said to be suffering from migraines. bad luck for the leafs.

There is no other sport that compares to hockey for cheapshot, bullshit moves. Do they teach that shit in pee-wees or juniors; or are the players born genetically deformed in the head?

Don't look now,but Charlie Coyle is yet another quality,large-framed forward acquired through trade by an organization that appreciates quality,large-framed forwards. Bergeron and Krajci had firm holds on Boston's 1LC and 2LC spots when the 6'3" 220lb center was acquired five years ago @27 for Ryan Donato and a conditional 4th,so he played a stellar 3LC until both retired. The opportunity to fill a bigger role this year resulted in career highs in goals, assists and TOI while continuing to win well over half of his draws against opposing 1LC's and playing a top notch,two-way game.

There is no other sport that compares to hockey for cheapshot, bullshit moves. Do they teach that shit in pee-wees or juniors; or are the players born genetically deformed in the head? Well he is a Domi. That should be a generic name for all neanderthals like himself. "Ah, don't worry about him, he just a Domi." Speaking of being a Domi, the namesake for the new generic, Mr. Domi, was the idiot who got the cross-checking penalty that gave the Boston the goal that put them up 2-1. Nothing was to be accomplished by the cross-check, yet Mr. Domi, the Supreme Domi, did it anyway and cost his team a goal.
