I drafted a vezina finalist in Saros and he has been below average so far, hope he came around.. i hope you gave him the night off... I did not, Saros gave 4 in about 16 minutes with 2 saves, not good. |

Lankinen playing way better than Saros. Kind of a weird/strange start with goalies so far, the elite ones are just playing ok or some below right now and you have others like the Vegas duo playing great and all sudden Ullmark with Boston is a the new Tukka Rask, New Jersey, Wings & Philly goalies playing well, even Jones with the Kracken looks like Partick Roy. Guess will see how the 82-game season plays out. |

Non goalies they may not get your any points, but they do not lose either. thus is the way of the fantasy goalie. the goalie giveth, the goalie taketh away... the goalie leads to huge upset wins, also, though, so... |

case in point, big t is about to get himself a shutout to take a huge lead...
thus far this week: me, 4 goalie games, 4 losses. T, 1 goalie game, 40 save shutout...
that plus two more injuries for my team should pretty much get T his first win of the season...

edit: the coach in detroit apparently doesn't think too highly of his goalie... this is a Roy-type deal... I cannot believe they didn't pull him like 3 goals ago...

I heard the other day on Missing Curfew that 93 players have been injured and missed time so far this year. There are roughly 800 players in the NHL. That’s almost 1/8 of the league has been injured. I’ve had Palat, Huberdeau, Drysdale, Teravainen and now Werenski out to the rest of the year. There’s just not much on ye olde waiver wire. I get that injuries will happen, but gawd dam!!! |

I know every year changes. And nothing’s guaranteed. I’ve fucked things up mostly for myself by missing a day here and there of setting my roster. But you’d think having the 2,3,4 leading scorers from last year would get you somewhere. Add in Hedman the 3rd highest scoring dman. Plus the leading goal scorer in Krieder. You’d think you’d see better results. But here we are. Hopefully they get it together soon!!!

No one’s saying if Huberdeau is in or not? So I may just take him out and put someone else in. I’m hoping to get more luck in the coming weeks. We’ll see. I may have to look into the trade market soon. But we’ll see. I’m not a fan of giving up the best player in a trade for 2 mediocre players. I get people try to do that. But I have enough depth. And good depth. Those guys will just sit on the bench due to too many guys. So a trade is probably out!!! |

Goalies decided this one, which they seem to do more often this year it seems
Just look at broad bottoms and Tman, their fighting over trade mark rights.
Fell like dropping them all and just picking one up when I feel lucky lol

Until I grabbed Knight, I could t trust Merzlikens. And for the most part Georgiev hasn’t really impressed either. So Elvis has left the building. Now it’s time for these other two to pull through for me.
Add in injuries, and it’s a tough uphill battle in mud, snow, crippling heat, and Noreastern winds all at once. I’m still not sold I’ll win this week. I fear Beniers is gonna have a career night and ruin it for me!!!

On the last day I've played Kuemper in Tampa what I normally wouldn't do. But would the result be in the favour of WSH, I'd probably win this week's matchup. But OK, everything ended as predicted. Shesterkin had a good performance against Arizona and Kuemper a poor one against the Bolts. Let's see how my goalies will faire in the future and whether I'll have more success with Sorokin moving forward... |
