Aside from the broadcasting fiasco (which doesn't affect me because I have DirecTV which airs the games) - I like the new guy (Rick Ball) and think he and Panger are doing a good job. My criteria for acceptable broadcast announcers is pretty simple - be knowledgeable, call the play on the ice when there is actual play on the ice going on, and don't be annoying. That's it. Ball and Pang do that.

Ball and Pang do that. I've only watched one game with Ball calling a Hawks game, it was so refreshing over the last guy. One time Panger was going on during a play and he totally cut him off the call the play. And between periods Ball was sitting on a desk and Pang asked him to stand and it was hilarious, he's around 6'5", he was being respectful to Panger going to his height. |

The new guy sounds like a real hockey announcer and is that too much to ask?

says it will be on espn+ for me. both broadcasts. 'Center Ice' carried both feeds too,will this continue with home games also? Center ice had it blacked out for me, because of the new channel. Paying 70 a year for half the games as espn and tnt carry 95% of the rest. espn blacks me out too, but tnt doesn't |
