Thanks, hard to catch games due to the timezone overseas. It's been a long while since we had anything to root for. The tank last year was masterful & we got Bedard! It will be a tough but entertaining season. Hope to post often. Do you know that some of the streaming sites we have found are free, and they show the replay of the games. So you could watch them at your convenience.

Hey guys, is there a way to move the streaming sites thread from the 2022/23 season and pin it to the top of this year?

I'm most familiar with NHL66 as that's the one I use. But there are several to choose from, you may find another you like better.

Hey guys, is there a way to move the streaming sites thread from the 2022/23 season and pin it to the top of this year? i wouldn't bother moving it because some of the sites we used last year don't work any more. why don't you just start another thread here and we can all add to it like last year.

Best game of the season - most complete 60 minute effort. Very nice.
Our supposed #1 weakness - goaltending - has been solid. Our supposed #2 weakness - defense - has been solid.
Yeah Bedard and Reichel aren't lighting it up but they're getting chances that will eventually start going in.
As for the 3 young d-men - even better than I hoped for - and I would be remiss to not throw flowers to Vlassic. I wasn't sold on him based on what I saw in the past but I have to admit he's been very very good. Now if the Hawks could find a way to replace Murphy with a consistently good defensive d-man in the next year or two - out d-core could be pretty good.

Ok, started one. You're really good with the different sites, so if you could add your choices that would be great!
Then someone please pin it to stay at the top again.

But very clean and friendly. This board was set up by our hero T-Man after the Hawks took down their message board. T-Man did a great job of mirroring much of what we had there, and many of the members here joined this, some within days of the old boards melting the ice on us!

Last comment - The Reichel experiment at C has to end soon. He is a natural winger but I understand the need to try him there.

I do think Philips is the logical choice for when the inevitable injury call up happens.

32% faceoffs.

I saw my first game at the old Chicago Stadium in 76!!

She took me to many games over the years, including the game against the Russians. May be hard to see, but if you look at my Avatar, that's a picture of Stan Mikita playing against the Russians, and the ticket stub I had him sign. My Aunt took me to that game in January 1976 and the ticket price was $8.75

Reichel hasn’t really stood out yet and that’s ok. I wonder if and when Kurashev returns if he, Reichel and AA are reunited? And then who sits? Only logical choices are three of either Katchouk, Entwhistle, Guttman or R. Johnson. Couple of those guys have played well. I’m not sure if any are waiver exempt, I doubt it, so who sits? The lines could end up… Bedard…….Donato………..Hall Kurashev….Reichel………..AA Raddysh…..T. Johnson….? Foligno……..Dickinson……Perry

That was sooo long ago and the game has evolved tremendously. I used to live in South Deering & the East Side. But I have been in Europe for almost 40 years.

That was sooo long ago and the game has evolved tremendously. I used to live in South Deering & the East Side. But I have been in Europe for almost 40 years. Great story in the game against the Russians that since the game wasn't televised many may not be aware of. First to set it up, remember back in those days there was 1 ref and the 2 linesmen. And when they called a penalty, no mics to announce it to the crowd.
To start, the ref was Russian (not sure about the linesmen). Thru most of the game, not 1 penalty was called on the Russians but several were on the Hawks. Finally sometime in the 3rd period the refs arm goes up to call the 1st penalty on Russia. Of course the crowd went wild, but it's what happened next that was classic Mikita. After play was stopped, the ref went over to the scorekeeper to let him know who the penalty was on. While that was going on, Mikita skated to dead center ice and waited. As soon as the ref turned towards center, Mikita dropped to his knees and bowed several times. The crowd exploded in laughter. Was possibly the funniest thing I've ever seen on the ice!

Thanks, hard to catch games due to the timezone overseas. It's been a long while since we had anything to root for. The tank last year was masterful & we got Bedard! It will be a tough but entertaining season. Hope to post often. i'm in asia. the time difference is +/-12 hours so games evening games start around 6 to 8 a.m. here, right in my wheelhouse. the afternoon games are a bit of a bear though, early morning starts. towards the end of your post...i've said it before here but unlike last year (which i still enjoyed btw) the losses are going to sting a lot more this year and the wins will be way sweeter...like tonight's was. it's going to be a blast for sure.

Wow what a great game Luke called them out a tiny bit and they responded. Tough first for Kor went up against Taveras line but no mistakes that cost a goal he probably learned more in that first period then the first 3 games and he is already better defensively then Klinburg he is awful. Bloom with a fantastic game!! Coming out party for 72 thought he was fantastic we will just have to live with that he wont be laying people out with his size but his play on Taveras after being out there for min 30 was man shit! Boris with areal good game. Complete team win from coaching all the way down to Zaitsev. Nice job boys!!

I was definitely wrong at the start when I said I could not see how the Hawks would overcome T's offensive firepower. It was easy, as the Hawks just outplayed them. I was surprised to see that Toronto did what it usuallly waits until the end of the season to do------lose. On the other hand, though, it wasn't that Toronto did not play hard or overlooked the Hawks. It was that the Hawks simply outplayed them with a fantastic game and great goaltending. The Hawks did not put on any great displays of offensive beauty. The simply played hard and right and whooped them good. Hell, they even got a power play goal.
What a very pleasant surprise to see those young guys play their hearts out and get so well rewarded. Matthews, Marner et al had to be wondering how they got their asses so seriously kicked by a bunch of young punks who took it to them. Good for the Hawks!!!!!
