Solid game by Mrazek. Since tonight was Kane's debut with the Wings, I recorded the game and fast forwarded thru it to see if Kane got any points
(he didn't). The Sharks were down 4-0, but came back to win it 6-5 in OT. The Hawks do not want to be playing the Sharks anytime soon.

Well that is 2 bad teams. Maz with a fantastic display out there. Creature did not look bad. Top line not much happening. Mintyukov is a fine looking hockey player. was fun to keep an eye on him.I think 5 has something hurting him.

Well...still haven't won back to back games but we've earned points in b2b games for the first time this season.
Small steps.

It was good see Vlasic and Crevier late in game protecting a 1 goal lead, saw some flashes with KK and boy what a play by Vlasic to come back on stop almost a breakaway, soft call on the hold though. Mrazek deserved the shutout, have to assume he got the chain.

Just finished the game, Korchinski probably had his best game despite now having a point. He had a great rush and got a the second chance, it was weak but it was still a chance. He also had some big blocks and uses his stick and reach very well. Crevier was beat twice, but out of nowhere that redwood branch poked it away, once on Leo. And the 3rd time it looked like he would've got back but Vlasic rushed back and made a great play, to bad the refs didn't think so. Mrazek had a big game, he deserved the shutout. Nothing to get excited about considering Anaheim only won once in their last 10 but a win is always nice. A win is a win and hopefully this will boost some of the guys' confidence--and end some of the others' frustrations.

If Korch had someone of Vlassic's calibre playing on the right-side of his pairing I think he'd start looking a lot better because he'd be more apt to show those flashes. Unfortunately Vlassic is the same handedness as Korch, and no one else on the roster or in the system is nearly as good on the D-side as Vlassic has shown (and I hope the kid stays the course). Such is the pain of a rebuild. Still, Glad we won and got Mrazek the goosegg.

The game was expected, 2 bottom feeders a ton of mistakes and Peter standing on his head. A win is a win, but I felt the Ducks took the play to the Hawks and that’s concerning since they are a terrible team. The Bedard line besides the PP goal really didn’t orchestrate much against a piss poor team, the same mistakes were happening, poor choices, the Ducks had the Hawks pinned down in there zones for multiple minutes at a time during the game. Richardson needs to start teaching the kids, because it seems to be the old story every game, can’t even manage a proper breakout system.

Go figure 2 weeks again the Sharks we’re looking like a team who would have a hard managing 10 wins.

For what it’s worth their analytics lead the team defensively. And Crevier has a very heavy shot, I can’t believe he’s not scoring with it in Rockford.

He's not scoring but he's generating chances and he already has more assists this season than last in close to 40 less games. A few were from his shot. He whiffed on a shot yesterday, I think that's when Vlasic was called for a penalty. But once Crevier turned and took a few strides he was right there and could've poke it away but Vlasic got back. Another play Carlsson beat Crevier and looked like he was gonna easily cut to the net, then the pucks in the corner because of a poke check from Louis. Late in the 3rd Henrique was skating down the wing and noticed Crevier so he stopped and cut back, he's a strong guy and normally cuts to the net or carrys it down low. That's something I've noticed since those prospect tournaments a few years ago, players avoid his side.

But sometimes a late rounder gets overlooked just due to that fact. If a seventh round guy like Crevier comes up and looks good enough to play, at this time and with this team as it’s structured, at least in the interim, so be it. It gives guys like dal Mastro, Allan and Kaiser the time they need to develop. And better yet, as a rightie he’s a rare gem on this team right now. A 6’8” 240 lb defenseman should give anyone second thoughts.

Well, it's officiaul. I'm am officially a Vlasic fan. The guy is turning out to be a stud. What took ya so long! You might want to follow Crevier., too He quietly had an excellent game, as far as I could tell on TV. Hawks are doing well with their d- corp.

Vlasic has looked really solid for most of the season, I guess I didn't want to get my hopes up to early. At this point, it sure looks like he's the real deal.

So around 230lbs seems right, might top out at 240-50 though. Being that huge and a righty really helps him, not to mention knowing how to use his size and how he improved his skating.

Somebody had asked him the question of his weight and GT put the tweet up, Crevier said himself he was 236 to 238 now, I just rounded up.
