i think they don't allow goals that are kicked in to avoid injuries in the crease by wild skate blades flying about...at least that's always been my take. is that the reason? anyways...they should just make it legal. happens so rarely anyways. the less judgement calls the war room has to make the better. and the only reason i thought it was a good goal was that i've seen a lot worse goals kicked in that were still allowed. I won't argue your point, but it shouldn't have counted. They deserve the Yoko Ono treatmemt.

Megna has had some of the best passes from our defense I've seen all year.

well...unless you get a true goalie win, that's likely as good as it gets this year against a top tier team like the rangers.
and no injuries??!?

I’m all for the rebuild plan. I just think at some point the org has just gotta bring in some help. Most of the team can be sent down. So why fuss over bringing in someone like Josh Bailey or someone like that. Ryan Dzingel is out there. He’s a Chicago boy. Why not bring in some guys to shore up the team? There’s literally 3 months left. It looks like AA is out for at least another month. Seth is a while, and the laundry list is horrendous. Let’s steady this ship a bit!!!

The players I mentioned are UFA still. Kessel wouldn’t even hurt at this point. The team has fallen apart like a Chinese motorcycle. Just show the guys on the team help is coming. They’re gonna be last no matter what. So instead of a .300 team they’ll be a .356 team. But maybe some of the kids can get her going. Kurashev has been ok, but he could be a lot better in a lesser role. I’d like to see 2 UFAs signed for the remainder of the year. Kessel and Dzingel would be nice. Most of the guys are from Rockford. So they can be sent back down. And they should be as Rockford is getting dismantled. It would help the org to bring in a couple guys like them!!!

I got to see Panarin with a goal and an assist, so that was good. My one game assessment of the Rangers is that they won't be winnin' no Cup this year.

Late watch for me about what we expected. Beacon of hope needs to understand when he is covering the point for Dman he can’t start dancing around. Maybe 3 or 4 high danger chances all game gotta be hard on these guys to be chasing all game . Shit Devils tomorrow get to think about how nice it would have been to have Mercer.

I'm not necessarily against this; hell, we have the capspace. But, the other factor is what happens when everyone comes back? Right now we're at the 22-player roster size with one slot left. None of the IR players (who don't factor into the roster) are waivers-exempt. We got 7 of them--which means our total roster stands at 29 right now. Not counting Soder Popinski, Bedard, Reichel, Guttman, Korch, Pickle, Phillips, and Crevier are the only waivers-exempt players, and some of them ain't going anywhere. If any of the players are due back this year, we'll have to make room for them--meaning 6 players be it on IR or main roaster, have gotta go. Either someone drops to Rockford, someone is pressbox'ed, traded (where we don't have the advantage), or they are waived and we lose them. I can see situations where we try to have the players on LTIR just stay out for the year without milking it, and taking care of any lingering medical issues, However, if we sign 2 UFA's like you want, that means we have to figure out what to do with 2 more players. I think either a plan has to be in place to deal with the extra bodies (beknowst or unbeknownst to the fans), or guys have to move before we bring in anyone else.

Anderson, Seney etc can and all will go down to Rockford. I’m not sure they have to clear waivers if they’re called up on emergency basis? I still think it’s best to bring in some help. There’s a bunch of guys that can be sent down and or waived. Plus trades can happen. I’m sure Kessel or Dzingel won’t mind being traded, or Anderson, or Seney etc!!!

Unfortunately CF didn't indicate whether or not someone was an emergency call-up or not. If so, great that eases the roster burden. If not, then KD has to be a little savvy managing it.
