Lol, are you kidding me with the bolded? "Don't disagree with me on a message board!!!" Okay, whatever you say, buddy. I'll post what I want, thanks. Glad you can handle it, you sure are showing how well right now. I never said don't post what you think. I only said that when I call the league officials and the refs involved in this play assholes and morons don't start lecturing me about how much I need to get a grip because I respond strongly to bullshit whether it is theirs or yours. If you don't like that type of response, then don't read it cuz I am gonna keep calling out the bullshit I see in strong terms. It's real easy. When you see a post I make, don't read it because my ideas will turn the league into a game of backgammon in your opinion. Jack, you're the one who can't handle a differing opinion. Quit projecting. You take this place way too seriously. That's all I say about it. Cheers and I'll see you down the line I'm sure. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

By the way, you never answered me when I asked you your opinion on Morgan Reilly cross-checking whoever it was in the face for hitting a slap shot on an empty netter. What did you think of that one? I was in place where there were a lot of Canadians when that happened. The older ones thought it was absolutely necessary to defend the traditions of the game. The younger ones were split. I was astounded because I see no need to protect traditions where no one is hurt with a cross check to a guy's face.

Well that was a nice make-up call by Toronto to give the Bruins that game, lol.
I don't know, maybe I'm biased because I want Florida, but to me, that is goalie interference much clearly than the Bennett goal. It was direct contact with the goalie and the goalie's stick by the offending player. I do think that, had the Bennett goal never occurred, Toronto would have disallowed this goal.
I guess it's a good thing in the sense that this has been the best series of the playoffs and it's extended now.

I know that's part of the official explanation, but that's suspect to me. The butt of the goalie stick actually appears behind the crease. The goalie himself is on the edge of the crease, but nevertheless, in the crease. Bob only shifts outside the crease when Heinen's stick makes contact with this pad.

I agree with Callahan that the office's judgement that Bob had time to reset is wrong; that is a bang-bang chain of events between shifting him out of position, losing his stick, and the goal. To me, the biggest thing was when Heinen jostled Bob's pad with his stick. That's interference in and of itself, then he glides into the crease, and knocks the stick out on top of it just before the goal occurs. Like I said, I don't think Toronto makes this call if the Bennett goal never happens, but it is what it is I guess.

You might be right on that GT. If I am either coach I am not challenging a interference call unless it puts the team down late in the game. Unless its a slam dunk

Gustav Forsling:
— drafted in the 5th round by Jim Benning in 2014 — traded 6 months later for Adam Clendening — spent 4 years in Chicago as an AHL/NHL tweener — traded to Carolina for Calvin De Haan in 2019 — never plays an NHL game for Carolina — put in waivers in 2021 — claimed by Florida where he becomes NHL regular — scores series clinching goal in 2024 as one of the best defensive defensemen in hockey

Definitely my favorite series this year. Interesting storyline: Tkachuk has major beefs with both Jamie Benn and E. Kane. So if Florida makes the Cup finals, there will be bad blood right out the gate. Here's hoping they do -- either Edmonton or Dallas against Florida would make an awesome Final. I was rooting for the Schmucks, but I may change to Edmonton now for that reason; and also because Dallas/Edmonton would be an awesome series too.
