I noticed Kurashev didn’t play in the last couple of Swiss games, not sure why. i can't find anything that suggests he was injured. just a coaching decision i reckon. Wow

Canada's coach...besides sitting bedard in o/t, trotted out 2 defenseman (severson and power) along with CB in the shootout. Needless to say neither defenseman scored.
No doubt the coach has his finger on the team's pulse more than your average Joe but hard to justify those moves in my mind.

I guess I don't follow the NHL as much as I used to. I don't have a clue who some of the Canadian players are or for whom they play. Severson, Guhle, Paul, Bunting (I thought he was what they drape along the foul line seating at baseball playoffs games) and a few others whose names I don't even remember now.
I thought Power looked impressive for such a young D-man. Hagel, Cozens, and Tavares were very impressive most of the time.
Binnington's save percentage was below .900.
I also felt that something was wrong with CB, as he was making questionable plays after the early games. I thought maybe a minor injury, or like some have said, he just might have been wearing done. None the less, on that big ice with 3 x 3, who would be better suited to cause some offense for your team?
Hope the NHL season will come around with some big, special surprises (maybe Kane returning to Chicago to play out his career with CB on the team with him).

Sounds more like he had his finger up his ass to me! 3 on 3 on the big ice? Bedard might have kept the puck for all 5 minutes.

Cze gets gold, Swiss silver (Kurashev played about 5 minutes so I’m guessing he was scratched the last couple, go figure) and Swedes get the bronze. Bedard gets 5 -3 for 8, +2, fourth on the team.

bedard had 13:04 ice time which was more than 6 other forwards on team canada so not too bad. still a bit silly he had no ice time in the 3 on 3 o/t.. anyways...congrats to the swiss. they have given us fits in the past and today was no different. shevy scratched for second straight game. not sure why...hopefully not injury related. That's very strange, especially considering he had a strong game and set up the tying goal. Even the announcers said he was having a great game.
