T-man: I want to commend you for your creativity with this countdown. I look forward each day to see who pops up. I guess we can all quibble over certain choices or photos and I confess I was hoping that 24 was going to be Probert rearranging an opponent’s face. Guess I’m a sick pup. Anyway thanks for doing this. I look forward to the final 3 weeks. Figure a few like 19 and 9 are quite predictable while many of the numbers have some contenders.

I demand Jeff Shantz for #11. I was thinking Doug Mohns gotta' be john marks. he wore it the longest at 657 games. blackhawks were his one and only team. i'd hazard a guess that #11 was one of the most unspectacular numbers (of the main type, old school numbers) in the team's history. 35 have worn it over the years but really, only mohns, marks and shantz have wore it for any length of time with us. www.hockey-reference.com/teams/CHI/numbers.html |
