For the first time in history, no hitters were thrown by a pitcher for both the White Sox (Lucas Giolito) and the Cubs (Alec Mills) in the same season.
Both teams in first place as they enter the final 2 weeks of the shortened season. It's not often both Chicago teams make the playoffs in the same season. This could be a very interesting post season for Chicago baseball.

mills wasn't even recruited in university. just a walk on who got a try-out. then drafted in the 22nd round (#673) in 2012. (how many bloody rounds are there in MLB drafts??)
to pitch a no hitter? i'm not a huge baseball fan by any means but that's crazy.
edit: apparently up to 40 rounds in MLB drafts.

Oddly, the White Sox are among the no hitter and perfect game leaders in MLB all time.
