hopefully this story ends up in the good news column. alex trebek's battling pancreas cancer for those who weren't aware. he's obviously touched by this guy's kind words. at 79, he's one of the sharpest guys on t.v. he announced his illness in march and he thought he'd beaten it but recently he's unfortunately had to start his chemo again.

I love that! Our dog acts like that even after I'm gone only 15 minutes. Dogs are great.

I might buy a new/used car. That's all I got. all i got is i just felt my first ever earthquake 6:52 EDT in the states. (6:52 a.m.here) : ) wasn't much....i just felt myself swaying back and forth on the couch...maybe 3 seconds. i thought it was a dizzy spell...felt really weird...but then i saw the curtains moving slightly. (no fans on, no windows open...dead quiet in the house) checked the www and there has been activity on the thai/laos border about 300km (180 miles)from my house and around 6:50 am here there was a 6.1 magnitude so that's what i felt about 40 minutes ago. edit: this one wasmine. this was from bangkok, 450 km (270 miles) further away than me fromthe epicenter. okay.....boring stuff....normal programming will now resume.

yeah it was. felt really, really weird, and if it went on much longer i think i might've felt a bit sick from it. my buddy just left for home about 30 minutes prior....i texted him and said "i think i may have just felt an earthquake." then i googled it and sure enough the one in laos happened right when i felt it. i always wondered what a quake would feel like and although it was barely noticeable (if i was on my feet i might not have noticed it) i now realize that 180 miles away is as close as i ever want to be to one. so i can strike that one from the bucket list. : )

Some family fun for the holiday season! Object of game is be the one to open up the package completely. You gain control of the package, gloves, hat by rolling doubles. Once you have control, the next person immediately starts rolling the dice, so it's possible to not even get the gloves on before you lose your turn. Game continues until package is opened.

not trying to sugar-coat a virus that's killed 120k worldwide, but can you imagine living in a place like this for +/- 30 years and seeing the mountains for the first time?
it sucks...but it ain't all bad.

pretty cool video. nature's amazing. too bad the hawks couldn't develop some of that pack mentality. i guess we have them over here (asian giant hornets are all over asia apparently) but at least where i live i've never heard mention of them. can't say for sure i've seen any but i have seen some huge insects fly by from time to time. they've killed people here before according to a google search and a few years back managed to kill an elephant. www.chiangraitimes.com/thailand-national-news/northen-thailand/mother-elephant-dies-from-deadly-giant-hornet-attack-in-lampang/man....you know times are bad when murder hornets end up in the "good news" thread. : D
