Left Chicago and Cook County the end of October for Adairsville Ga. No regrets and will never look back. I'll keep my memories from when it was an amazing city and the great times I had with friends and family. Don't miss the food because I am a pretty damn good cook. The city council was introduced to myself the wife and Italian Beef sandwiches only problem down here is the bread too soft and falls apart too easily. I'll have to have Turano send some. Is Mohawk carpet somewhere near there? I called on them in my former life with some colleagues from our Atlanta office.

It's called the flooring capital of the world. Duluth Trading just opened a huge distribution center here Hyundai is building a battery plant here and a Korean company called Qcells is building a solar panel plant about 20 miles south in Cartersville. They are expecting Adairsville to grow to 12,000 residents by 2025 or double what it is now.

Brought the Marconi Hot with me and will have some sent to me when out. Also found a shortcut for the Au jus. Louie's comes in a packet and makes 6 cups with all the spices. So I just get a bottom round or eye of round roast and cook it to 135 degrees let it cool then put it on the meat slicer for very thin slices. Toss it for a quick bath with Louie top with some Marconi and mmm! Will try my hand at the bread cuz it really needs it.

I’m a fan of this foiling catamaran racing. When Chicago hosted their event it was the stunning skyline in the background, that pier jutting out by the finish line, the waters of the lake, just a stunning venue. In my younger days I rode through Chicago a couple of times but never lingered, always on the way to somewhere else. But I’d love to be on that lake some day just to get that view from the water. The best views of the city are probably from the water. nah...i'd say from a beach in indiana.

on a personal note, i'd like to thank victory auto wreckers for giving me one of the 3 most memorable jingles lately when listening to the game on the radio. "victory a-u-t-o wreckers dot com" "save big money at menards" "1-877 kars for kids" whenever i opt for the soothing tones of john and troy on the radio, i find myself singing these little ditties quietly to myself for the next 2-3 days. edit: i was wondering to myself how many auto wreckers have their own wiki page? well, there's one at least. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victory_Auto_Wreckers

Was just reading about it but didn’t feel a thing. I do remember one in this area back around 2010 that woke me up. Thought there had been a plane crash or something.

Nowhere near the area, so no. On one hand that would be a very minor one--like a truck driving by. On the other hand the lack of the amount of faults in the area (New Madrid notwithstanding), means it would be felt over a wide area. Still probably scared the piss out of someone who did feel it.

It wasn't actually an earthquake but close enough....Pritzker tripped and fell that's all.🤪
