I think Tocchet has the 'nucks playing well, but I think the perds will give them a series. Demko being back and looking healthy gives the 'nucks the edge.
'nucks in 7.

Preds were rolling lately. They'll advance in 6. Or not...

Preds in 6 tell no one I said this. Ryan O is a great leader.

Preds in 6 tell no one I said this. Ryan O is a great leader. this is the only place I picked the 'nucks, likely cuz I did it on the fly. since I've had time to think on it, I expect the perds to win. but I'm not changing my pick here. I'll get it right somewhere!

3 franchises that as a Hawks fan, are most hated during recent times after the wings left. The 3rd is obviously the blows.

The 3rd is obviously the blows. personally, I have zero ill will toward the Canucks anymore. watching Kesler cry was the end of that rivalry. the blows and wangs are still the two most hated for me. Nashville just kind of annoys me. that they've barely ever won anything probably helps.

Preds in 6. One of the hottest teams going into the playoffs.

Quinn Hughes reminds me a lot of Duncs in terms of speed. Not sure he has DK’s playoff edginess, not the ability to lose 6 teeth and come back to play the 3rd period.

To me Quinn Hughes when he is skating it looks effortlessly. I love Keith and he for sure was willing to get to the line or cross it sometimes when engaging with a player.

well that sucks.
casey desmith has a grand total of 89 minutes of playoff hockey on his resume, which is 89 minutes more than the other backup arturs silovs.
anyways...this is the playoffs and i'd bet demko is back in a game or 2....hopefully.

Nucks are going to bulldoze over Preds. I am thinking that Nucks make it to WCF.

Nucks are going to bulldoze over Preds. i really hope so but i've said it here before. since feb 16th the preds were 20-5-3 and led the league in points percentage at .768 while vancouver was 18th at .537%. if demko misses this series....well, i shudder to think the preds might take this one. i picked vancouver to win but it was likely the hardest choice i had to make in this opening round.

Demko had a sprained knee towards end of regular season, if he reinjured that is a tough for a goalie to be on top of his game.

this wanker sure inspired his former team last night.
as i age i seem to become more forgiving, but he's likely the one that of all the p/o games played against the duckies and the canucks....the hatred for him still burns the brightest.

canucks win 2-1 despite being outshot 30-12. desmith had a shutout going until around 4 minutes left.
they said post-game the lowest SOG total in a playoff game that resulted in a win was 10...by the new jersey devils in 1990, so the canucks weren't too far off that mark.
and the blackhawks did it as well in 1974. germaine gagnon scored the lone goal against l.a. in a 1-0 win. mikita and koroll with the assists. of course it was tony who stopped all 32 shots he faced.

Hughes appears to be hurt, his TOI is way down in game three and only 13 minutes through 2 periods in game 4, Preds definitely finishing their checks on him. Patterson needs to step up.
