useless factoid o' the day.
i was looking for the reason why we had to play 3 goalies in the '72 playoffs. i haven't found out yet but i did find out that at the start of the year we traded goalie gerry desjardins along with gerry pinder and a guy named kerry bond to the california golden seals for goalie gary "suitcase" smith.
and just over 5 weeks later we traded goalie gilles meloche and paul schmyr to the seals and got back goalie gerry desjardins.
i wonder if a player has ever been traded away and traded for again in such a short time? i suppose likely but it sure wouldn't happen often.

Pretty impressive, with a beer league goalie'n all! i wonder if we'll see silovs' backup? nikita tolopino's pro experience in north america is 35 games with abbotsfort in the AHL, all this year.

I feel no sympathy for the perds, but we will see if the 'nucks can finish it off at home in game 5.

Canucks tied it with 6.2secs left and won it 62sec into OT. And it's only the 8th time a team was down 2 goals in the last 2mins in the playoffs and came back to win.
It's great seeing the Preds down 3-1.

Preds hang in there for the win. Funny is the preds could be the ones up 3 games to 2 if not for the last seconds comeback of the nucks in game 4

Short term Blackhawk Beauvillier had a great view of that goal by another former Hawk. He’s got all summer to think about it.

pius suter scored latest series clinching goal in canuck's history. no doubt the biggest of his career. he's been a pretty steady player for 3 teams in 4 years. seasons of 14, 15, 14 and 14 goals but he got his 14 with chicago in just 55 games. www.nhl.com/canucks/player/pius-suter-8480459

i woulda' thought there'd be more than 14.
anyhoo...pretty good for his 3rd career playoff start. oilers/canucks will be a dandy.
