I'm working on some teaks to make this closer to the other. Won't look like it but I want the feel and ease we had on there. Pretty sure you mentioned how to do this on the other board, but how do I set up the number of posts on a page? I'd like to set it to be 25 I set this one to 30 (MAX) allowed by these boards. Per page. Have a little #counter set on the side there. Some guys wanted 50 or 100. |

Didn't post much on the other site due to joining in the offseason, but now that Hawks are back...well, not really back and barely showing up so far, can't wait to talk hockey!
Nice work on the new site so quickly!

I increased the size of the texts, too much?
I also added whats called a SHOUTBOX on the bottom so one can post conversation with anyone at anytime bypassing any thread. Seems like it's for idle chit-chat.
Let me know if you like it or should I disable it. Does not add to your post totals, just conversation.

Glad you started this...I may pop my head into the serious discussions at CCS now and then, but this seems like it's turning in to the old boards, and that's a really good thing. The CCS board is just......weird, for lack of a better word...a really slick, modern format with a ll the bells and whistles, but not much traffic, frankly. Definitely a bias against older posters, and it seems a goodly segment of those who post there are more concerned with trolling, or how they're perceived rather than talking about hockey.
Reminds me of the Crystal Palace in Tombstone:

Thanks. I didn't post a lot but read it almost everyday. Don't know exactly what my post count was but it was around 35-40 I believe.

Please let me know how many post count you had and I will add them here. As far as posts go I have no idea been on the boards since 2014. Then about a year ago I couldn't get on so made this one. Maybe the Mods stopped liking me lol. I guess Ill just have another do-over. I can be opinionated as most so I hope everyone is here for fun and grows a thick skin. I came in in the offseason, mentioned how in my opinion I kind of wish the Hawks traded Crawford at his peak but the front office seemed to fall in too much love with the core of the team and it wasn't going to last forever, look at Seabrook. Received some backlash and got hounded by a select few so I didn't bother. Perhaps it was someone here, who knows. Point being to be able to finally say my peace, and it goes for all sports, just wanted them to plan for the future a little better. Instead it feels like they expected to plug and play anyone with Toews, Kane, (Hossa at the time) Keith and Seabrook, all those guys were going to defy age and they were going to continue to hit on draft picks. Players come and go...can't fall in love with anyone. Unfortunately the league goes on and suddenly it doesn't matter they won 3 cups 6 years. Back to back years of missing the playoffs, followed by back to back years of being bounced in the first round...and it isn't looking up right now. ahhhhh....it feels to good to finally get that off my chest after months of pushing it down. I'm a free man! |
