I must post this one again here:
👍 If it was the old boards the other thread wouldn't be here cause they only had 4 posts lol, oh well, I'm just glad Hoss made it on the first ballot.

IMHO Toews, Kane and Keith are locks. Not so sure about Seabs. Let's wait and see.

I've been pondering this question the past day or two myself, Bob. imo, Q and Kaner are first ballot locks already. I want to say that Keith will be as well, but it may depend on who else is in the running when he is up. I doubt it takes more than two tries for him, though. Toews, on the other hand, is a different story. he really doesn't have the numbers to be a first ballot guy. provided he gets to 1k points, I think he will be a lock at some point. however, much like Keith, if he has stiff competition when he is eligible, I can see it taking a go or three before he is in. one thing I am certain of: all of them will have their names in the rafters of the UC eventually. Hossa as well. I reckon Wilson will have his number retired next season. Seabs will likely have his up there as well (even without a HOF nod) as they'll do it with Chelios to appease the fans that do not want Chelios up there. there should also be a 28 (a number I noticed in quite a few of these Wilson Wilson highlights) hanging up there as well in the near future (hopefully).

One thing to keep in mind when talking Hall of Fame. It’s the whole body of work, not just the NHL. So Toews 3 Stanley Cups, Selke awards, Messier awards, 2 Olympic Gold medals, 2 world jr golds, one of the best 2 way players the NHL and world has ever seen, I believe he’s a first ballot Hall of Famer.
Also. I will bet Q, Kane, Keith will all be 1st ballot guys. I will also say that Seabrook will get in at some point. He also won WJC gold, won an Olympic gold, 3 Stanley Cups and scored many many crucial goals during the playoffs. I think he’ll get in at some point. It will take a weaker year, but he’ll get in, just like Wilson
Crawford is another interesting one. Let’s say he plays 2 more years and gets to 300+ wins, and 30+ shutouts. He has 2 Jennings trophies. For years and years it took a goalie to get 300 wins to be Hall worthy. I think Crawford also gets in at some point. He may have to wait, but he’ll get there too.
So I can see at the end of it all, Hossa, Toews, Kane, Keith, Seabs, Crawford and Q all getting in!!!

As of right now Crawford sits 56 all time in goalie wins with 260. I think he could easily get 60 more in two years. Which would get him to roughly 320 or 30th of all time with the Cups etc. If he plays 3 more years, he could easily be 22-24 all time. I think when he’s done, he’ll be in there. He’s had the numbers and playoff numbers. He has 48 career playoff wins as of now which is 21st all time!!!

I think he and Keith will be similar in it will depend on who else is in the running when they come up. I would say Toews is a lock to make it, though, considering his body of work. Crow and Seabs, I'm not seeing it. perhaps they'll both have their number retired, but I don't see either making the HOF.

Also Toews is a Conn (Muthafuckin) Smythe winner. His International play will get him in first ballot an shit. Crawford’s a long shot. I still feel when it’s said and done, he’ll get in, same with Seabs. They’ve done enough to warrant it. Especially if Kevin (Muthafuckin) Lowe snuck in with some back room “wicked wristers” happening. I’m sure he gives one hell of a handy to get to where he is!!!

Kane reg season; 973gms 389gls 1,022pts +69 w/62 GWG's PO's 127gms 50gls 123pts +4 w/11GWG's JT reg season; 943gms 345gls 815pts +193 w/66 GWG's PO's 128gms 40gls 110pts +14 w/10 GWG's Reg season FO% 56.9 PO FO% 56.8. Both have Conn Smyth's. JT a Selke and a Gold medal that saw him named best Olympic forward in 2010...….Kane a Lindsay,a Hart,a Ross,Olympic Silver and a Calder. Both also obviously have three cups. Kane has 9 All star appearances to JT's 4. The biggest discrepancy between the two seem to be AS games and reg season assists 633/470 but only three assists separate the two in the PO's....unless you value defense and FO's......some don't.

I also value faceoffs and defense. 😉 that being said, as you mentioned already, the flashy offensive numbers are gonna be the things the national guys look for more so than overall game. I think that'll hold him back, although as T said, he has the international rep too that might get him in on his first go. he also has a few years left (hopefully more than a few) to pad those offensive numbers. if he can hit 1k points and 500 goals (which I would say he will totally get 1k, 500 goals will be harder), he will then move to first ballot shoo-in. imo anyway. edit: I'd also add that Tazer is a 6 time all star, he was selected 6 times but had to miss twice due to injury/illness.

I have no doubt you value his game as much as I do and if Kane gets a bit of a leg up because he's an offensive force.....that's good with me too. Patrick Kane was money in all three cup runs. Play JT with Kane and he hit's all those numbers and I offer last year as evidence.

Toews should be in the HOF if for nothing else than being a +193 with Sikura on his line at times.

Toews should be in the HOF if for nothing else than being a +193 with Sikura on his line at times. Agreed; and in the same vein Keith should get in for having to carry Runblad's carcass up and down the ice in a futile attempt to make Stan look good.

I wasn't here when this thread got posted obviously so want to chime in a bit.
Very happy for Hossa, he really deserves it.
I never appreciated how great of a skater he was or how amazing of a 2-way guy he was until we got to watch him every night. When him and Toews matched up against other team's top lines in playoff series it was as much of a shutdown as you could see.
I do think that part of the downfall the last few seasons has been directly due to Hossa's abrupt and shocking departure, which left a massive void all over the ice. PP/PK/Scoring/defense/leadership. You don't just find those guys easily, they can't just be replaced with a trade or free-agent signing cause teams aren't usually looking to give those guys away or let them leave.
Anyway, when all is said and done the 2010-15 Blackhawks will have at least 4 HOFers.

Hoss has been the biggest loss we've had since The Run ended. he and Tazer together allowed 88 to get out there against the oppositions 3rd line a lot of the time, imo. agree on the HOFers. Hossa is in. Toews, Kane and Keith are locks. other than them, I'd say Brad Richards will probably get in as well, although not as a Blackhawk.

Then, while not nearly as important but in my mind in a minor way, he has been terrific in shootouts. A nice reminder: February 2010 – Vancouver Olympics -- "Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews started the Olympics as the fourth center on the Canadian roster, with limited expectations of seeing the ice. By the end of the tournament, he was not only the most valuable skater in the tournament, but a gold medalist. Detroit coach Mike Babcock, who was the head coach for Canada, regularly praised Toews, going as far as to say the best players on his roster were “whomever is skating with Toews.” With the gold medal and Stanley Cup ring, Toews became the youngest player ever to become a member of the elite Triple Gold Club, and the youngest Canadian player to win a gold at the World Junior Championships, World Championships, Olympics and the Stanley Cup." HOF This was our dear boy "Sunny" being his own sunny self. We had to put him to sleep today for invasive cancer. He was smiling to the end. His parents? Not so much... The last time we had to put down a special animal was in 2013 just prior to the Hawks taking the Stanley Cup. She was my wife's first service dog. Sad day in the GigHouse, but we know he's past the rainbow.

Also, 1000 points these days is like getting 1300 in the 80s and most of the 90’s. Gretzky even said so himself. My guess is that Toews and Kane go in together. They’ll make it a spectacular evening and sell it like they sell everything else. Wait till next year when Hank and Danny go in. They’ll sell the twins night like you can’t believe!!!

I remember how you said the vet came to your house. I also remember you being there when my guy crossed that bridge. Dogs are amazing, even though there’s a terrible emotional debt to pay at the end. The years in between are amazing and I believe actually help your life. My wolf now is finally settling down a bit. He’s 5, and I hope that I get another decade like my other 2. I feel for ya my friend. Hang in there, it’s never ever ever easy, I shed a tear for ya again!!!

It will take a weaker year, but he’ll get in, just like Wilson Crawford is another interesting one. T, I would also add the fact that he was the Captain for every one of the "Dynasty" Cups that the Hawks won. I have. I may make his phone number public so everyone can call him and bug the shit outta him. I’m gonna reach out to Ironhide too. He’s a great guy also. I’d love to have a couple more on these boards. I’m happy T-man set this up for us. Really the shift was flawless to here. I think we’ve got a solid group here!!! yeah, keep bugging him, lol. I had his number until some asshat stole my phone and I, being the tech savvy lad that I am, didn't have any contacts saved.....

Sorry about your loss, Gig My parents, sister and I have put down all 3 of our family dogs now from our childhood including our golden retriever Skittles who lived to be almost 16! Very emotional the day of and for a while thereafter. Doesn't get any easier that's for sure.
