i'd pick vegas. colorado is pretty much owning dallas tonight. i'm cheering for a hawks' win tonight because i can't help myself, but yeah...we'll be well hooped playing either squad, the oilers too likely. always want the W, my friend! I dunno.... Vegas just owns us, it seems. the Avs are fast and deep. either way, Crow is officially announcing his Smythe campaign in case anyone misses it at the end of this round with the Oil. jeez....i thought i was a pollyanna. : ) a crow vs panda series would be fun though.

good idea from the 'canes organization. I really like that. The Hawks should do something like that before the HUGE game Friday.

this is from the last game. no idea what it was about but i think torts has the potential to either ruin young players or bring out their best.
edit: it would be an interesting social experiment to watch if nylander got traded to columbus. i have a feeling that nylander would be sent to the farm halfway through his first period.
dbl edit: of course dubois scores tonight. trpl edit: twice. qdrpl edit: of course he get's the 3rd in o/t.
torts pulling the right strings it seems.

Vegas vs Colorado for the top seed and the right to play us, should we advance. loser draws the yotes, should they defeat the preds and we the Oil.
blows likely play Flames if the above scenario plays out and they beat the stars, which i expect. loser of that game Sunday likely draw the nucks.
should know a few more teams tomorrow, i reckon.

flames are through. gotta think no Laine or Scheifele killed the Jets chances anyway.

flames are through. gotta think no Laine or Scheifele killed the Jets chances anyway. Scheifele's injury was an achilles but maurice said it wasnt as bad as it could have been. Laine's was a sprained hand. Tough for a team like the jets to compete losing those 2 pieces.

perds and panthers both out so far today....
glad to see the perds out, now I really hope they don't get Lafreniere.....

add the pens to that list.
another team I hope doesn't get Lafreniere..... odds are getting better (or worse depending on how ya look at it) that the team that gets him is gonna be someone I don't like....

Where will the Cup Finals take place? Is it already set or does it depend on which teams are in?

I think Van is on the right path. I’ll be the first to admit that I thought Jim Benning was doing a meh job, and he got absolutely no luck at all in the draft lotto. But he has done an amazing job by plucking out the right guys at the right time. Boeser is a find at 23. He rebuilt their defense and totally passed on the higher touted Boqvist for Quinn Hughes. When he lost the draft lotto in 2017, he didn’t wine, he got probably the best player in the draft in Petterson at #5. Tanev is another one. Getting JT Miller and That Rat Roussell has helped immensely. Good for them. They realize what it takes to win and seem to have an awesome thing going on!!!

not a "playin" team, but the flyers just ripped through their round robin play beating the caps, bruins and TB by a combined 11-3 score, so they're the top seed in the east and get montreal.
in the TB game, hedman did a rozsival and went down with a badly bent right ankle. they're already without stamkos so not good for them.

esshhhh, that didn't look good there... bolts should get Stamkos back for the next round me thinks, but losing Hedman would be even worse for them...
I wondwr who tb fans are pulling for tomorrow now? an offensive showdown with the loafs or a revenge matchup with the jackets?
