the knights or the avs....not the greatest scenario either way.
betting on the hawks would be a foolish move, but it's the nhl playoffs. expect the unexpected.
!!!!!!! GO HAWKS !!!!!!!

the team that generates the most shots/game in the nhl vs the team that allows the most shots/game in the nhl.
we got this. : D
edit: here's a small stat pack on both teams in the regular season. if you take away the shots for/against...statistically we don't look all that bad against them. (just don't watch the games.) : )
CHI VEGAS
PP 15.2% (28TH) 22.0% (9TH)
PK 82.1% (9TH) 76.6% (27TH)
GF/G 2.97 (18TH) 3.15 (15TH)
GA/G 3.06 (16TH) 2.94 (13TH)
SH/F/G 31.8 (13TH) 34.5 (1ST)

dennis gilbert might've come in handy this series. i wonder if he'd have drawn in if he didn't get hurt? i'd have to say so.

One thing is for sure, I doubt we see Sikura, and I’m hoping after a few shifts Nylander gets the press box and Q gets some shifts. We can’t afford half a lineup of >170lbs guys vs this team. I know Nylander isn’t that size, but he plays like it. If CC is on, and the D gets tightened up a lot more than the Edmonton series, ya never know. I think this is too much for the Hawks to handle. They’re young and it’ll be a good experience. If it doesn’t work out, really can’t be upset. They accomplished more than most thought they would!!!

i wonder if the refs have decided to call the qualifiers like they were regular season games and from this point on will call the rest of the playoffs as playoff games? or is this one of my dumbest theories ever?
one at a time, people. : )

The Oilers are an offensively gifted team. In fact, they are right next to Vegas as far as GFA. I actually think that the Hawks have a better chance against Vegas than they would have had against the Avs.

The Avs are a tad better defensively. It's also possible that the Hawks would have a slight edge playing against Lehner. In any case, I think we can all agree on this: the Hawks have to play much better than the did in the regular season, which, I think they did against the Oil.

welp, Vegas it is. same as T, I was kinda hoping for the Avs.
we shalt see how this series gets called, we are gonna need to keep outta the box (per usual) and we are going to have to convert a lot better than we did against the Oil when we have the man advantage.
I think Vegas has a good (not great) team, but I don't think they have a single d-man as good as Keith or a forward as good as Kane. our stars are going to have to continue (Toews, Keith) or start (Kane, D🐈) playing like stars, along with Crow leading the charge, if they want to get past the Knights.

to answer your question, though.....
I believe I made my suspicions known before they started playin, that the league will call games tighter than they usually do in the playoffs. things are still gonna be physical, but I think a showing involving bunches of offense will be encouraged with all those potentially new eyeballs glued to the tube.

I think where it gets tougher for the Hawks is that Vegas is better balanced...out of 15 goals the Oil scored, only 3 did not involve McDavid or Draisaitl...Vegas doesn't have quite the firepower of those two guys, but the Hawks are going to have to be more defensively aware of all of Vegas lines, and with that D corps, that means the Hawks forwards are going to have to help out a lot on all four lines.

Stone is a helluva player, but otherwise I don't see any super stars on that Vegas team. scoring is much more spread out. everyone is going to have to do their part.

i wonder if the refs have decided to call the qualifiers like they were regular season games and from this point on will call the rest of the playoffs as playoff games? or is this one of my dumbest theories ever? one at a time, people. : ) I have the NHL live app/stream for tv thingy. I get notifications 3-4 times a day. After last years playoffs I got a notification and I clicked on her. The article on NHL was something to do with the officiating. Many teams complained that teams like the Blues, Vegas etc took a ton of liberties on teams and it was impossible to play the brand of hockey the NHL is trying to sell. So the NHL said something along the lines of it’ll get better but not boring type thing. So I think what you seen, is what will carry on. That’s why they’re calling a ton of penalties to clean it up a bit. So look for game 1 to be a parade to the box for the more bullish teams. They’ve already stuck to their guns, I think they keep shooting!!!
