funny....according to the comments it's a fairly well known song in canada but i've never heard of it.
anyways....i think most kids want to drive a zamboni these days so they can play goal for a game in the NHL. : )

I guess it's not surprising the song is well known in Canada. I only came across the song about a year ago. The Gear Daddies, a rock band from Minnesota, did the original version which is the one you hear in the video. I read the song was often played during intermissions at hockey games throughout North America and became one of their best known songs.
I also read the song is featured in two movies; D2: The Mighty Ducks and Mystery, Alaska.
