the article was mostly regarding Kane and his "little thing" he has been dealing with, but I thought the last paragraph was the most interesting. Kane: "With the way our team plays now, it’s not so much puck possession as it is moving the puck ahead and tracking it down. I've been used to playing that puck possession game my whole career, so it’s a little different, but I've just got to find a way to create no matter what the situation is. Looking forward to bouncing back next year." Since the team won't be good for some time, why not play Kane with D-Cat if Kane stays? It'll result in the two putin' up big numbers and havin' some fun......you'd think common sense would dictate this for the fans alone. I thought the same last season (19-20) and yet the 19/88 and 12/17 combos seemed rare after career years from all 4 the season prior, so I'm not gonna make any predictions, but it kinda seems like a no-brainer...

They left JT and Kubalik together all last year though. Kubalik had a decent follow-up season but he missed JT winnin' battles behind the net and settin' him up point blank a half dozen times a game. There were a lot of games this year where Kane didn't skate with either sniper(D-Cat or Kubalik) and that's hard to grasp unless it was done to keep the 'W' total down.

The org will figure it out when no one of any significance wants to be there. Like, how the hell to you label someone “the great communicator” when they had 2 years of coaching before this one. When you call someone great, you don’t label them that in a half hour. They’re obviously trying to change peoples minds by lying. Which means they’re not sure themselves. This whole thing is just wasting the end of some “great careers”. Toews, Kane and Keith are great. They’ve been in the league for a long time and you can identify them as such. Colliton? He has nothing about him that sounds great!!!

But that doesn’t happen without more great players. There’s just not enough players here to do stuff like that. So we all know it’d be best to have a solid top 6. And a tough bottom 6. It’s worked before, has Collitons idea worked at this level? Probably not!!!
