Adam Boqvist is a victim of numbers at the AHL level? How can that possibly be anything but a bad sign for another young D-man taken in the 1st round? JC said he was going down so he could play more and he doesn't play at all......is Indy the next stop?

With the exception of Holm, who is probably their best defenseman at this time, and the newly acquired McCoshen, every other defenseman down there qualifies as an in developement player, some of which you have advocated for. I’m not going to worry about it, especially when there is a vacuum of news on the subject.

I have had intertest in Glibert and Carlson but little in the other two you mentioned,I just don't see how falling behind any of these other youngsters isn't a set back for Boqvist.

Gilbert got a suspension for an interference penalty? Anybody see this play yet?

Good hit but of course totally unacceptable now. Was the player hurt? That seems to influence the decision.

Gilbert got a suspension for an interference penalty? Anybody see this play yet? That's how I was tought to hit, it wasn't interference cause he just dumped it in and he didn't target his head. It's sad how hockey is becoming so soft.

Versteeg is allegedly coming to Slovakia to play with his brother. Haven't seen Slovak league hockey match for ages, but the club is only 25 miles away from me so I might see a 2 times Stanley cup champion live 😀

I don't think it matters either way both are career minor league players.

That's what I was thinking but Cram doesn't have nearly as much experience as Versteeg and he has terrible numbers, plus he's small. To bad cause Knott had some potential and he's big. Bondra, Radke, Knott were drafted the same year, big guys with talent who couldn't reach the next level.

He didn't progress at all and no doubt they won't find a guy who has Versteegs NHL experience but they could've got a player who's at least a good AHLer. Knott was a fun player to watch in the OHL and I had high hopes for him to be a bottom 6 player, he couldn't even do that in the AHL, at least Cram is off the books after this season.

I was looking at Rockford stats and saw Holm is the leading point getter with 10 in 15 games; it included 3 g's. The leading goal scorers were the two Sikura bros. with 6 each. It showed Mikael Hakkarainen as playing in only 1 game so far. Is he injured? I'd like to see Soderlund start getting some points; he has only 1 assist in 7 games.

As of now our seven defensemen should be Keith, Seabs, De Haan, Maata, Holm, Gilbert, Boquist. Gus and Koekook shouldn't be on a team now.

Murphy's defensive play has been STELLAR recently and that makes the two additions redundant and Murph's a right shot too. Your point is spot on,moving those two would make room for Boq and Gilbert, they could platoon a bit, practice with the team, learn the system and we both know injuries are inevitable.

Besides a couple bad penalties, Holm looked really good in the preseason and we've mentioned it a lot but Gus should've been traded in the summer and with how Holm looked in the preseason Gus should've been traded in the preseason, Holm would've been good till one of the kids you mentioned is ready. Koekkoek should've been let go. Those 2 are hurting the growth of the kids.

So all that is left is to wait and see if at deadline time someone is desperate enough or we just let them walk as UFA's, Gus and RFA, CoCoPuffs.
