Well remember in Pirri's mind he should have been on the Hawks PP instead of Kane.

We have a Tim Soderlund sighting. I wonder if he'll sit out the next couple of games before playing again.

I was looking at the IceHogs roster and it listed 7 d-men, not including McCoshen. It showed - Krys, Holm, Gilbert, Carlsson, Boqvist, Tuulola and Beaudin.
McCoshen would make 8 so what will happen when McCoshen comes back? From looking at the game rosters with the final stats, it looks like they play 6 d-men in a game, though I don't know if they have done this for every game.

I wonder if they rotate the 2 youngest D-men? I'll have to go back and look through all the game logs but I'm sure they keep that many in case the Hawks have emergency call ups needed.

Soderlund should feel a few pounds lighter after getting the monkey off his back. That was nice shot he made. I watched the replay in slow motion (the replay was in slow motion, not me) and it appeared the one timer from Carlsson went past the goalie and deflected off the end boards behind the net and came out the left side where TS got to the puck. I agree; that was a nice pass from Kurashev to Tuulola.

I was thinking that Tuulola and Carlsson should be ready by now and from what I seen in the preseason I'd rather have both over Gus and Koekkoek. From what I've heard on Hogs radio both are playing solid hockey, especially on defense.

When I hear talk of the four D-men you mentioned along with Holm and McCoshen's call up instead of our top two prospects(Boqvist and Beaudin) it concerns me to be honest. I know they're both young but they tell me it's a young man's league nowadays. If I had a say(LOL),I call up Boqvist when Keith went down and give Dach the chance with Kane and D-Cat when Strome went down. Gotta know what we have in these two youngsters sooner rather than later and maybe both get confidence from those assignments.

I couldn't stand seeing Dach moved off Kane and Debrincats line after a couple rookie mistakes, especially in a game where Kane made a horrible pass to get the Avalanche on the board. Colliton shouldn't be coaching this team with how he misuses his players.

Another big win for the Hogs, beat Manatoba 4-2.
Delia stopped 37 of 39
Tuulola scored again and so did Entwistle and Hagel.Kurashev gets another assist, last game it was a nice primary assist.

what do you guys think of the players in Rockford? Anyone looking like a top pair or top line talent? from the scouting reports I've seen so far, none of the forwards are even projected as 2nd line Fs (mostly bottom 6) and both Boqvist and Beaudin are projected just as 2D pairing

I don't think even Keith and Seabs were #1 when they started. Took a couple years. The last 2 top 6 forwards we got were Saad and D-cat right out of the gate.

When drafted he was compared to Erik Karlsson and he's going to be a #1 dman. He's only 19 and looked great in his few games and sniped a beautiful goal. Hagel might be the only legit top6 forward the Hogs have, he started slow but he's playing great lately.

I was looking to the prospects for a rebuild and it looks like it will take a while for this team to be competitive again. This team needs 1D and at least a top line wing/forward. I doubt SB has a trick up his sleeve to make this happen.

Kurashev and Entwistle have the potential to be top6 forwards but realistically they're solid 3rd liners, which isn't bad. But yeah they need more guys that are legit top6 or top3 forwards. Makar is a special kid and a legit #1 guy, so is Boqvist and this is only his second year in North America, he has a lot of poise and should be on the Hawks but it's ok he's playing Pro hockey at 19 versus men fighting to play in the NHL. I thought Boqvist looked much better with Keith than Gus, to bad he lost the puck trying to skate it out of his own end and JC quickly put Gus back with Keith, I guess Colliton likes his dmen to actually pass it to the other team than losing it stick handling. And why wouldn't the Hawks want a dman who scored on the PP with very limited time when their PP is horrible. I guess they like Gus and Keith killing momentum and turning it over on the PP.
