That article has some really good detail. I hope something like that comes out for the Hawks.

That article has some really good detail. I hope something like that comes out for the Hawks. I looked for that, couldn’t find anything yet. But I’m always looking up dates so at least this way I could follow. This is where a GM and his staff earn their money, these upcoming decisions could reverberate for a long time.

When expansion selection time comes around, how interested could Seattle be in Subban, assuming he isn't protected somehow and is available to be picked( I wish I knew all the exempt/protect rules.) I ask since goaltending was the Hawks strong suit last season and Subban did well in his backup role. Plus he has a cheap contract. If you take Subban away from the goal situation, we're left with Delia as the only guy with any NHL experience. I don't know what choices Seattle will have for goalies and what their salaries will be and if some will have more appeal than what Subban may or may not have to Seattle.

Is Lankinen exempt from the expansion draft since he was a first year player last season? I believe so. But the Hawks gotta protect a goalie anyways. So even if he wasn’t, he’d obviously be the guy!!!

Is Lankinen exempt from the expansion draft since he was a first year player last season? These are the questions I’m hoping others with more knowledge can answer. What I just read is that any player with 2 years or less professional hockey experience is exempt. So does Lanks fit into that? Does his pro time in Europe count? I thought originally he was exempt due to his time in N/A. However I’m not so sure. Regardless, we have to protect a goalie and we don’t have much else to protect at that position. So it really doesn’t matter either way. It’d be better if we had to protect him and Subban was off to Seattle. Sometimes Scam Bowman needs protection to..... protection from mediocre players. Maybe his hand will be forced to pick up a true backup/starter to help out Lanks? It does however sound like Lankinen does need protection!!!

So even if he wasn’t, he’d obviously be the guy!!! Thanks, Big T and tincup. Since this past season was Lankinen's first in the NHL, I didn't know if that made him a first year player for expansion criteria, or if his two previous at Rockford are included to make him a three year player for the expansion draft rules because he was also a professional while playing for Rockford. As you mention tincup, hopefully others can answer all these type questions. I hope he's exempt so they could protect Subban to give us the same goalie tandem this next season bro leaguesut I agree with you Big T; if Lankinen is not exempt, he would be the G that's protected. edit: I saw your comments above. I had wondered too about time in pro leagues in Europe; such as Kubalik with two years in Chicago but played as a pro in Eur. before that. I would like to see Subban back to pair with Lankinen, like last season. That's why I had asked about what interest Seattle may or may not have in him. I think Subban's deal is for only $850K and I'd prefer him over Delia as a backup.

I wanna like Delia. But he’s very inconsistent. He’ll have a solid month and we all think he’s the guy. Then it looks like he needs to be duct taped to the posts on o hold him up. So I think I’d rather put more focus on KL than the other two. I think right now we need an older vet that can help when needed and help the younger KL get into a better position mentally!!!

Lat him go and keep 6'-3" ARVID SÖDERBLOM as the Rockford rookie. At this point does it really matter, GM is just pissing in the wind now.

Thanks tincup for the dates. Good to have this general idea about the upcoming important dates. Personally, I did not know that the lottery is in 2 days. Then, mid July the fun part begins. Protection lists, trades, expansion draft, draft itself. Cool.

Yesterday was the deadline for signing 2019 CHL draftees. I’ve seen no announcements from Chicago so I’m assuming there were no signings from what remains of that class. Now occasionally a gem shows up later, Brandon Hagel for instance, as a free agent. It’d be interesting to find a list from all the teams.

According to CapFriendly's expansion drat simulator:
All 3 of our goalies are expansion-eligible and meet exposure requirements. I think maybe the protection requirements are less stringent--or his European time counts. I can't find an answer, to be honest.
We can protect one. The other two are exposed and both can go towards the exposure requirement.
How interested they'd be in Subban? I would think pretty interested. Some may disagree but he did reasonably well as a backup in his career and it looks like the goalie market for expansion might be slim--especially when it comes to backups.
Beyond that, it would depend on who the 'hawks actually expose. Debrincat, Strome, Carpenter, and Connely are the FWDs that meet exposure requirements that the 'hawks aren't obliged to protect.(Kane and Toews have to be protected unless they specifically waive). 2 of them have to be exposed. The 'hawks protect Debrincat--if they don't we should promote Stan to head peep-show booth cleaner at the seediest porn shop in the Chicagoland area ASAFP. I can't think of any other player of those three that Seattle would want to take over Subban except maybe Strome. Even though I think Strome needs a heart transplant, I think he's protected. I don't think Seattle would take Carpenter or Connelly over Subban.
For the defense, Keith has to be protected and Seabrook doesn't meet any exposure requirements per the fact he's missed more than 60 consecutive games due to injury and it's a career-ender. So, the 'hawks have 2 D-men they can protect aside from Keith. Stillman, Murphy, and DeHaan meet exposure requirements so one of them has to be exposed. Murph is likley protected. Between Stillman and DeHaan? I think Seattle would take Subban. DeHaan isn't going without a major sweetener--would you take the 2nd coming of Andrei Zyuzin, with an injury history, wrapped in Dany Richmond's sweater? I wouldn't.

Good for your bro. That’s good to hear. I’d hope more and more would become donors. We have a little symbol on our drivers licences that says we’re a donor. Cant use it in the ground! Or fire! Have fun camping. It’s amazing how quickly Murica turned her around. Looking good now. We have a bunch of dicks here that have gathered up all the camping sites you can dream of, and they sell off their reservations for like quadruple the price. I don’t negotiate with these terrorists. I hope they get stuck with them and make no money!!!

Waited two years to get the seasonal spot at the resort I wanted and I pulled the trigger on a camper/trailer last summer before the covid/privacy craze took over the RV/camping industry. They can't even keep inventory in stock now and I'm waiting for the resort to up their $1,800 annual fee too but it's still the cheapest/easiest way to have an up north get away.

So Monday, July 1, appears to be the likely date then. Makes sense - it's post draft.
