I’d have to think Toews would have to have a ridiculous start to the season to get any shot at the Olympic team. With the likes of McDavid, McKinnon, Bergeron, Crosby, etc. I don’t see much room for him at this point. However, that can change. I could see Bergeron having a down year. I could even see Crosby opting out. So, we’ll see. But as of now, I don’t see him on the short list!!!

I also have to say that Beijing is just too far to go to. I hope they pass. Games will be on terrible times and no one will care. I think we should just plow through and finish the year!!!

Technically you said you missed a couple 😋 I mentioned that in my original comment but I guess it was a few. You're all over stats and finding things but with all the unknowns on those teams it's easy to miss guys who never did anything with the Hawks, besides their old captain Zhamnov. Anything to this my Canadian friends?...... i don't see any controversy here really. you got 3 goalies. levi just turned 20 late december. tomkins (27) and pasquale (31) are the other goalies. i guess he's going with experience over youth to start out. harrington's a buffalo scribe and i guess he's pissed off that levi isn't playing...but i do agree i'd trust julien's judgement more than JC's. |

It's the only Olympic hockey tid-bit I've seen so I thought I'd throw it out there for somebody who knew a little about it,thanks for the feedback my friend. I didn't remember Levi was a GT but he was a throw-in on the Sam Reinnhart deal,Fla took him in the 7th back in '20'. His numbers the last few years ARE pretty impressive though.....he had a .750/.964 in 7 U20 starts for Canada last year.......his SV% was higher than his GAA.....LOL! 1.55/.948 in 24 starts for the Huskies this year so far. Huskies' freshman,back-up got em to the Beanpot Finals so they must be a dam good defensive team or else they know how to scout goaltenders. |

i guess i wasn't paying much attention to the rosters because i was surprised to read this.
youth vs experience. should be interesting.
not sure if commesso starts again or not.
edit: commesso is backing up strauss mann tonight.
