The Kraken took John Quenneville, so I guess they passed on Big Z. Now, Bowman can deal with his contract situation.

Worst day for the Hawks. Looks like Seattle wants the high picks in the next couple years. Very smart. The Vegans cupboards are quite bare. Now they have a few long term contracts that’ll sink them. They’ll be in serious trouble soon.
I didn’t see Seattle take full advantage of other GMs. Maybe they still can, but it doesn’t look like they’re interested!!!

That's what I thought too when I saw their selected list, but now I wonder. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they get a window to talk with all the UFAs ahead of everyone else? Could it be that they already know which UIFAs they're going to sign and also know the cap space they need?

Maybe the Krak-heads thought they were getting Joel Quenneville.....LOFL! I think they’re brilliant by not being bogged down by many long term deals. All the players they got have one on two year deals for the most part. So they’ll have a ton of money to spend in a year or two. They’ll also have a few high picks that’ll be pretty good. Personally, I’d give someone cap relief for a first rounder. Especially if it fits the one to 2 year time frame to expire. I’d probably even take on 2. I’d take Neal from Edmonton for a first rounder or even Bouchard. Then I’d look to Vegas or Colorado and get their first rounder for one of their bad contracts!!!

But they’re tanking naturally. Lotta kids coming up that will be franchise players. They have an opportunity for a couple years to tank, I’d take full advantage of that!!!

They did get a special window and if they signed a free agent that person would be their draft pick. Seattle took no one from Detroit so I figure they sign a Red Wing in that window.

I think the novelty will last at least 3-4 years. Now, let’s say they land 2-3 really good players in those drafts, especially Connor Bedard. Kid is absolutely unreal. They’ll have a lot to sell real quickly. I think it’s the best way to go!!!

Bedard and Mishkov. Just amazing talented kids. Very fun to watch. I’m sure there’s other kids too that’ll be amazing, but watch for them. Next years draft has Shane Wright. He’s been compared to Mackinnon, I also see a good chunk of Toews game in him too. If there was ever a reason to tank, now is it!!!

I'll have to see some of their prospects come up and perform before I change my mind on that. their cap space isn't great with that white whale they have in Bob. I don't like their d at all, save Ekblad. we will see what they look like the next couple years with their prospects coming up. I might change my mind then, but right now I have a hard to seeing them come ing out of the east.

They had the 4th best record in the league without Ekblad for half the year and the PO's and he was on a tear when he went down. They also gave TB all they wanted all regular season and made a series of it after losing the first two one goal games at home(game winner taken away in game 1) tough 2-1 loss in game two. I missed few Panther's games last year and I'll miss fewer this coming year, they 're gonna be a handful and their ain't much in the east besides TB any more. Bob will have to return to form and that shouldn't be a tall order @30 and Spencer Knight is better if he doesn't anyway.

I am.not saying I think they are going to be awful, but I think they need a couple more pieces at least to get them over the top. I don't really consider this past season an indication of much, tbh. next season they will have to play a full schedule and not have the shitty wings and 'hawks and jackets for half of their schedule. just as all the rest of the teams. I am rooting for em, I would like to see them do well, but I am not convinced that they are top echelon contenders just yet...
