I read his tweets. Teams have Drs. They can prescribe that stuff. So I’m not sure if he has a valid point. But he’s gotta watch himself. He’s gonna be tough to be around. I’m all for calling something out. But do it to the team and league and not on twitter!!!

This guy just can't keep his trap shut and never could. He needs to publicly comment on nearly every issue in the game and controversy and goaltending never go together well. It was the PA and the Eichel situation just a day or two ago and now it's this? He has a need to stay in the public eye for some reason and why bring this up now, even if it's true. He'll never STFU and he'll probably never win anything either......there seems to be a lot more important things to him. He went public when he was here too when he said something about not taking a home town discount to the press.....how unnecessary is that? He signed for his career best 5M here and he makes no more than that now so he either took that discount with LV or that's all he's worth.......I believe it's the later.

It seems like he's not comfortable unless there is controversy and drama.

Does this guy not have a friend he can talk to? Sometimes, or, a lot of times, these things are best said in a private conversation. Is his helmet going to be made of tinfoil?
If I were the teams management, I’d have a meeting with him and tell him all matters like that have to be discussed with the team first, and they cannot be displayed on twitter. Any violation can and will result in termination of contract.
The Las Vegas Golden Knights hockey club pays Robin Lehner to play goaltender for them. He is in the public eye. If the team feels he has broken their code of conduct or the NHL code of conduct, he could be released from his contract. Hell, even my 10 year old son had to sign a code of conduct with his AAA team. If he breaks that he’ll be kicked off the team. Lehner better watch it.
My only other problem with this is he’s becoming a media whore. He’s not doing this for the betterment of the players. He’s doing this for himself. If it was that important before, he’d of called it out already. And if there’s “more stuff” that he wants to release daily, why wait and have someone else be subjected to it? Just put it all out there. His team mates won’t even wanna be seen with him or be around him soon. Or maybe they don’t already? He’s gonna have to make a decision soon on social media whore, or NHL goaltender!!!

If this was the only issue we heard from Lehner about..... www.nhl.com/news/golden-knights-robin-lehner-meets-with-nhl-and-nhlpa/c-326601836I'd understand because it is an issue that hits close to home with him and I respect that but it seems to be only one of many issues he take public exception to. The Eichel/Sabres situation sure as hell doesn't need to be tried in the press and the giving of prescription drugs to players by trainers, which he accused a few teams of could be a serious accusation......if he were taken seriously. I'm sure his teammates must love the distractions.

I wonder if Vegas regrets trading Flower instead of him. I bet they do.

Here's a podcast on thoughts about why Lehner spoke out now.

It really sounds like he got to shut the F*** up. His contract would be null and void if he kept on going the way he was. All the sudden he says “I’m not looking to bring this to the public anymore”. Why now? I guess losing out on 5 million per and being black balled is scare enough. I’d bet the NHLPA told him to shut up. I will say this about him. When he retires, he’ll be a loaded gun against the league. It’ll get interesting all right!!!
