hopefully they get #2 next Friday. then we can lose a few after that... Yeah, just as the Hawks get hot....they have a 5 day break for the all star game.
huh, it's not the all star break? Are they taking a bus back to Chicago?

They should take a megabus if they run from San Jose to Chicago. We took one in 2010 from Chicago to St. Louis and the price was $1 each way.

The worst result possible. This simply means that both the Yotes and Sharks are worse than the Hawks. Now we need Big T to tell us who is the 3rd best pick in next year's draft.

Tyler Johnson with 3 helpers trade him now The Sharks announcers said he had 3 assists tonight, said he was given the second assist on one of the shorties, nope, that was Jack. But still, 3a in 3gms, get a pick for him now.

Johnson isn't ever talked about it seems like in trade discussions, but I think he would he a guy that could bring back a 2nd at the deadline if some money were retained or another contract was taken back. provided he shows his neck is a-ok for the next few months.

Late watch great win for the boys gonna be a long season at least they get to hang in Cali for day and get a fun plane ride Monday or Tuesday. Congrats to Luke on first win. Thatās a bad team but still hawks protect a lead another good thing to see. Get some practice time hopefully donāt lay a stinker at home opener.

Unfortunately itāll be Mishkov. Not that heās not a good player. He could be the best offensive player in the draft. Itās just that it may be hard to pluck Russians out of that country. If thereās one leftā¦ā¦. But thereās still a lot of hockey left to tank. I think the team wanted to get the first win out of the way for Luke. If this keeps up, and the team looks good. Iām sure trades will be made. I truly believe that the reason why the team sucked the last 3 years was simply coaching. If KD wants the tankathon to last the year. A lot more moves need to be made. Finishing with a top 10 pick will be a colossal fail. As bad as the Leaves missing the playoffs this year. I do believe KD has more up his sleeve. I believe that he has deals in place to unload guys by Yanksgiving. Which will piss off 19/88 and theyāll eventually want out. KD cannot just reverse course now. Getting rid of Hagel and Dcat will look very stupid real fast. If the Hawks do not get a top 3 pick this year. It pushes the rebuild back another 2-3 years and it will become a 10 year project that I doubt he lives through!!!

Sharks play last night was one of the worst I have seen in quite some time. I turned it on with Hawks behind 2-0 only to watch the shorties etc. - with the audio ahead of video like others. Good to see effort and heads up play by Lafferty and Tyler Johnson in particular. Athanasiou did a lot of skating around the perimeter but doesnāt seem to shoot and Entwistle looked a little lost. These observations are just during the time I watched so maybe others had a different view.

The Hawks' quest for Bedard is in serious trouble as they are likely to be surpassed by both the Sharks and the Yotes in the race to the bottom. Unfortunately, that could mean add another 5 years to the timetable for any kind of relevancy.

With that said, I sure hope KD stays the course and goes full rebuild. 19/88 only have a couple really good years left if that. No point in building around them. Build for the future. This current team is not strong. But with two superstars, who are looking for some kind of redemption. It could get ugly. I think young KD was under the notion that 19/88 were gonna suck and the team was gonna sink. But with those 2 going strong, I donāt see this as a bottom 3 team. Maybe bottom 7-8. But definitely not 3. I hope they make it count. Canāt tank half assed!!!

It sounds easy. But if they decide to stay the year and test free agency, thatās their right and we have to respect that. If they want out and itās only to one team, we have to respect that and the return. The best case would be they both accept trades around Feb. most of their salary would be paid. Hawks could take back a contract if needed be plus retain half. They would get a massive haul for them. But I doubt they give a list of 5 teams. Probably just one or two each. But weāll see!!!

Because that is what teams that are close do. Look at the Panthers, they have no 1st or second round picks for several years as they see their window is now. Now they might not make it, but unless you try you will never succeed. The Avs traded for Artturi Lehkonen and Canadiens received defenseman prospect Justin Barron and a second-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, and Darcy Kuemper and Coyotes receive defenseman Timmins, first-round pick in 2022 Draft. Both of these players helped Avs win the cup. Antoine Vermette was huge in the 2015 cup win particularly in the WCF and Stanley Cup finals, I do not think the Hawks regret trading their 1st round pick.

Yes he slants more towards the treatment of 19&88 but he also know 19&88 better then most . Trust me he will do the work to get to know the kids he wonāt be lost. Remember all beat guys have had it rough with limited access to players . Also letās remember it was one game against a team thatās not good that flew across the pond and back and was on the second of back to backs. And as of keeping 88 around Iām all in I kinda like watching that guy play. Let see where we are at on Christmas we both celebrate that donāt we LOL

What is a big enough return? We know that the Lightening and the Panthers have no 1st rounders and they have been dipping into their talent pool so two of the favorite destinations have little to offer that we are looking for and that is early draft picks. The Avalanche cannot afford either player and there is no telling what the loss of a player like Kadri will take out of their lineup come playoff time. He was our healthy Andrew Shaw. If traded, they will be going to their desired team so why not sign an extension if the other team wanted one. The Panthers would not trade for Tkachuk without one. I hold out hope they will stay, and I believe Chicago would offer them more than other teams would be willing to.
