Yeah they just go about there business and you will notice nobody will be out there point chasing in the 3rd like you see with some teams That usually happens when the team is winning. Watching teams this year see a lot of teams get up and are still taking chances to get more points. No team does it better than the oilers.

They did better than I thought. I said 6-7 to nothing.

with a nice big dose of good luck, we might be watching a team like this in a few years. Maybe five years. Just on this road trip you have seen the difference a draft can make. Rangers last five years not much to show for it couple of decent Dmen. Devils picks last five years lots of good talent. Just can’t believe Alex and Jack were #1 picks , Alex’s is not even as good as the Mercer kid . Oh well jets Friday.

Well, on page 1, I said it would look more like the Islander game than the Ranger game. But, what the hell, the Hawks got 24 shots on goal. That's some sort of win, isn't it?

Brendan Smith is a thug. Don't recall which Hawk he hurt years ago when he was with the Wings but he's another guy who crosses the line Headshot to Ben Smith. I remember it. I remember as well and Ben was playing good hockey till that concussion, then in Rockford he took a big hit and hit his head on the ice and fractured his skull.

Brendan Smith is a thug. Don't recall which Hawk he hurt years ago when he was with the Wings but he's another guy who crosses the line Back in the 2012 preseason,Benny Smith was coming off a nifty PO series against the Nucks before Brendan Smith concussed him with a head-shot in a F'n PS game. Patrick Sharp commented in camp how he 'looked forward to playing with Smith' after he looked good the year before in the PO's and again early on in camp. The injury was serious and quite the career set-back with B Smith only seeing 13 games the following year for a needy Hawks team and only 1 the year after...... www.youtube.com/watch?v=QU9gxbvWPdUBack in June of '15',21yro Marco Dano came in the Saad/AA trade after an 8gl/21pt +12 35gm rookie season in Clmbs,a few of us took to calling him 'Baby Hossa' in camp right before Brendan Smith worked his magic on him in a PS game too(can't find a video). Another concussion and another setback for another young Hawk player......the kid saw 13 games before he was included in the Ladd trade later that year and never looked the same afterwards.

Headshot to Ben Smith. I remember it. I remember as well and Ben was playing good hockey till that concussion, then in Rockford he took a big hit and hit his head on the ice and fractured his skull. Don’t remember the fracture, what horrible luck. Ben wasn’t tall but he played at over 200 lbs, stout fella. Still plays in the DEL.

How many games has Vosters said something to the effect "if the Hawks had (fill in the blanks)" the game could be different? Yep, if the Hawks had scored 3 more goals to this point of the game, it would be different Chris He said Marino "high stuck" Domi after that penalty(LOL)and when Sharp mentioned the ferocity of Tie Domi's fights,he said "yeah, none of em were fighting minors'......WTF's a "fighting minor"? When he said something about a "swing and a miss",Sharp said "you ain't doin' a baseball game".......Sharpie might be back on hiatus soon!

He's lucky he didn't die. He wasn't the same after but he did play in the NHL briefly and I'm glad to hear he's still playing in the DEL.
