I think this one will look more like the Islander game than the Ranger game.

Does Mitchell sit again vs getting a few games and a shot at the #1 PP unit for assessment? As it is,he doesn't even have a chance to put-up numbers in Rockford sitting in the press box and he had a good start this year.....2gls/6pts +6 in 5 AHL games after a good AHL season last year too.
If this kid has ANY motivation/attitude left,I'd be shocked, witting's on the wall and he has to know it.
Just how does playing C Jones and Roos instead of trying to 'showcase' a young D-man for trade value alone make sense?
Ian Mitchell put his head down, was a good soldier and performed well in Rockford while we watched Beaudin spoil from the same mistreatment, but it doesn't matter for some reason. Recalling him and then sitting him probably diminishes any value he had left but that seems to be a pattern before we dump a guy.

Yes to Mitchell on the PP please. This game should be a debacle, time to give some Hogs a shot.

You call him up to sit or just in case an injury happens? If Mitchell does not play tonight, I would think he will be sent down again once they conclude the road trip and head back home. I guess they can always ask him to drive down from Rockford if needed for a home game.

Johnson tonight and let Ian play since they will likely be shut out 6-7 to nothing tonight.

Two wins out of three won't be bad.

Everything points to this being a lopsided win for the Devils. #2 team hosting #31 etc. I do think NJ will win but I think it might be a better and closer game than against the Islanders.

Well buckle up buckaroos this one could go real bad. Have to be engaged from the start. You hear it all the time in the NHL playing the right way this Devils team plays the right way. Hang in there Go Hawks!

Devils very fast team and better be ready from the start as others have opined. They also do not give up many shots on goal, so any scoring opportunities we will have to capitalize.

Yes to Mitchell on the PP please. This game should be a debacle, time to give some Hogs a shot. If I read the stats from Hockey-reference.com correctly, no Blackhawk defenseman has scored a PP goal in the last two years, maybe it’s time to keep trying something different..but how embarrassing to your #1 Dman if a Hog had better success.

This game should be a debacle, time to give some Hogs a shot.i don't think that's part of the plan unless injuries force their hand. and to be honest, if KD strayed from his plan i'd be a bit disappointed...just because it's been so long since this team has had an actual plan. next year you'll likely see so many hogs here you'll think you're in rockford. anyways, thnx for cutting the ribbon t-man. things are looking good in new jersey. 2nd best record in the league from the 3rd youngest team. looking forward to seeing NJ play today, they're a team i haven't cared to watch much over the years. (BOR-ING) those days are done it seems. !!!!!!! GO HAWKS !!!!!!!

Hawks have had a couple grade A chances, but insist they can drive the puck through the goalies chest.
