does berard wear the full face shield full time? would he wear the same in the nhl i wonder? just curious. I believe jr's are required to wear full face shield or cage. AHL and NHL require just the eye shield.

the more posts we hit, the more dread i feel. Wow, what a match it was. Our guys were fighting for a good result and a win. Obviously had a lot of luck with that many posts Canadian guys hit. And my oh my this Bedard kid. Saw him the first time and he was noticeable all the time. Driving the puck, making plays. For instance, Wright, was kind of piece of puzzle, not the driver. Hopefully Bedard will stay healthy cause we're gonna see a lot of insane things from his side. And still under 18... Although our guy, Dvorsky, still under 18 as well, was noticeable amongst older guys, but nowhere near Bedard. Would be great to see Slovaks eliminate Canadians, but for the sake of the tournament is better that the Canadians advanced. And fully deserved... Plus, hats down for the fans. Made a hell of an atmosphere. On the other side, they got to see a fine show for their money. Looking forward to semifinals...

It’s good to see 4-5 teams with a shot. Hockey has come a long way. The skill level is unreal. The better the competition the better everyone gets. It sucks to see your team get absolutely annihilated. But it’s those times you learn a lot of lessons. Like Austria is right now. It’ll all get better. Slovakia and Czechia are looking much stronger. Sweden and Fins are stronger. It’s looking good!!!

I thought the first called back goal by Blake was a good goal. I didn’t get that. That’s not goalie interference. The 2nd one is 💯 not a goal. Cannot push the goalie into the net when he has the puck. But I’d be pissed about the first one. Maybe that changes the game? It would a been 3-3.
I thought the US played good. I think they came unhinged a bit after those calls. It sucks. It’s hard to come back from that. That was the shift in the game. The USA was a top team in this tournament and it would a been nicer if these two didn’t play in the Semifinals!!!

Canada paid the price for their rules in the first game when Dean got 5 min major for barely hitting the Czech player in the head. It was barely a penalty let alone a 5 minuter. But it’s their rules and ya gotta play by them. I disagree with it, but it is what it is. Don’t like like it, cool, don’t play. It’s the same rules for everyone!!!

I’m an American but the better team won last night and thankfully the Hawks have a chunk of the Canadian team coming their way! I have no qualms losing to the better team! The US program is very scary. They’re gonna be the dominant country very soon. They’ve caught up and will more than likely surpass everyone else within a decade. Can’t believe how big hockey is in the US now. My boys team plays a few tournaments a year Stateside, and there are teams everywhere. Kansas City, Georgia, many many teams in Florida. Pittsburgh had like 8 teams in that city/area. Detroit has a whole circuit now. Very impressed with the amount of hockey on that side!!!

Congratulations to the US of A. What a game. I didn’t understand the last goal? Sweden tendy turned into a statue. He didn’t even move. I’m not sure he’s moved as of now. Anyways. What an entertaining game. This is why I love the Jrs. Anything can happen.
Although it wasn’t the prize they were going for. Im happy that both teams put out their best effort. I’ve seen the Russians just absolutely mail it in for bronze medal games. And the players showed pics of them drinkin on the plane ride home. So it was nice to see. Both teams deserve drinks in my eyes!!!

Wow what great end to a great tourney. Chez just worked hard simple hockey. Great crowds awesome to have fans back in there. Is there any doubt who will score the OT winner Nice goal by Guenther. But horrible celebration. That celly was gawd awful. I’m happiest now due to the Hawks having 4, more than likely 5 players on that gold medal squad. Hawks will get either pick 1-2. So with 5 guys on that team is unreal. And I’m sure next year the whole tourney will be littered with Hawks players. They’ll have a lot more from last years draft in the tourney. I’d have to think the Hawks will have about 7-10 players in it. Korchinski will be amazing in an expanded role. The future looks a lot brighter. Winning gold is a big deal for those kid’s development. Really happy to see the Hawks finally have something to cheer about!!!
