I need some help from somebody understanding the rule on this. A player high sticks someone and cuts him. It is a four minute minor. But, if a player roughs someone ala Pietrangelo on Seguin last night and bloodies his nose it is only a two minute minor. Blood is Blood is Blood, so am I supposed to think the NHL only cares about shedding blood when a stick causes the blood to flow? What's the deal on this ridiculous distinction in penalizing the cause of the blood flowing? It's ok if you don't keep your fist low, but we are going to hit you hard with an extra penalty if you keep your stick too high? Or, is the nhl saying that we want to hand out more punishment if you draw blood with a stick, but if you draw that blood with a smack in the face from a glove we don't give a damn enough to give the extra two minutes? How does that make any sense; or withstand logical examination? That is why I need to be enlightened because I don't get it.

pete deboer moved into a first place tie with darryl sutter with his 8th game 7 win.
there are 11 coaches with at least 5 game 7 wins but all of them have suffered at least 1 loss while deboer is a perfect 8-0. (sutter is 8-3)
