If you could have any of the amazing players the Blackhawks traded in the last 5-10 years to come back, who would it be? I personally would love to see how Bedard would team up with DeBrincat.

Debrincat is definitely one of the top guys but I'd go with Hagel.

Then the media would buy it and not even question him. Remember his media tour around Chicago just before he was let go? He mentioned that he was going with a youth movement and Sikura was going to be a big part of it. Heyyyy, he still may resurrect that young man’s career!!!

Speaking of special we also heard about Ian Mitchell and comparisons to Cole Maker.

I only advocated for some assessment time before they dumped the kid myself. Keeping him with the big club and not playing him destroyed any value he had at that point to the extent that saw him traded for Taylor F'ing Hall @6mx2! There's a Forsling,TvR or Jokiharju out there for every Mitchell,Beaudin or Boqvist given up on.

For a trade, I pick Patrick Kane. You don't treat long time veterans so shabbily. He did not ask to go and had a NMC.
Second pick would be Kirby Dach. We will come to regret this trade in three years. Big skilled forwards take years to find their pro games.
Third pick, Hagel. I suspect we lose on value here for this trade. Fourth pick is Debrincat, though I do recognize Davidson's limited options here given the expiring high tail contract. Ottawa ended up getting burned by it instead of Chicago.
For a Davidson giveaway, I pick Dylan Strome. Big first-line centres who can generate offence are very difficult to find. Strome is getting better each year. Now he wins faceoffs. In time, we might come to rate Davidson's Strome fiasco similar to the notorious Phil Esposito or Hasek trades.

Hagel, particularly in retrospect, may end up huge as well. I mean, a line of Strome, Hagel, and Bedard could've been awesome. However, as we all know, the intent was to make the team as bad as possible to get Bedard. My guess: in four to five years, the Hawks will embark on another rebuild.

This young player was one of DUMBASS' give-a-ways,and it doesn't get as much attention as it should but Gustav Forsling is a regular season,a PO and a SCF BEAST of a defenseman!
Another of Jr's many give-a-ways was this 25yro player, let's not forget.......
"Lankinen's 17 wins in 2020-21 were second among NHL rookies and the most by a Blackhawks rookie since Corey Crawford had 33 wins in 2010-11. He signed a one-year, $875,000 contract with the Vancouver Canucks on Sept. 21, 2024, after two seasons with the Nashville Predators".
The young GT was booted just about the time young GT's come into their own, he played well in Trashville and yet he was still little valued around the league last summer....he is in Vancouver at 8-3-2 though.

I’m also not really happy about the departure of Enrico Ciccone. I’d still like him back!!!
