Agree with Bob that Pace and Nagy are here for a while, and I'm OK with at least this year and next...Nagy is still a new coach in a sophomore slump, and Pace has eye for talent on defense, not so much on offense, and unless he can turn this thing around and get them back to playoffs in the next few years, the legacy of his career will be passing on Watson and Mahomes for Trubustky.
As for this year, they're going to have to ride it out with Mitch, and figure out what they can do in the off-season. Adam Shaheen should never play in the NFL again. The lack of a serviceable tight end that can catch a pass and help out with blocking would aid the passing and running games. Shaheen and Burton have done neither; it's often like playing with ten players. Charles Leno Jr needs to sit a game or two as a wake up call. Davis was a waste. Cohen has been frustrating, but he's not an RB or an FB; I put a lot of his lack of production on the coach; the old saying is good coaches find out what their players can't do well, and then not make them do it. Nagy has Cohen trying to punch through the line from the one...whaaa???
That's all I got for now...

I believe their defense is still decent, but their offensive line is....well, offensive to watch. Need to address this off-season and the draft. Blew their chance for a real QB by not taking Mahomes or Watson.

Davis should be released if only to get that compensatory pick. he ain't playing anyway.... Called it v. As close as the team and most of us fans thought they were this off season I have a question.....even if Howard wasn't a perfect fit,did the FO really see a conditional 6th round pick as more valuable than another year of the player for a bit more than 1M bucks? I know backs have to catch the ball these days too but the power of Howard complimented the speed and shiftiness of Cohen perfectly last year IMO. Cohen's gone from a dangerous player opponents had to game plane for to just another guy who gets crushed behind the line of scrimmage now. The coach and GM shoulda realized the biggest need was OL with Long hurt all the time but they didn't......getting rid of the predictable Howard was gonna make everything better. How's that workin' out?

NFL announces a private workout and interview in Atlanta Saturday for Kaepernick, all teams invited. Word is this was requested quietly by 4 teams. Trying to figure out who thinks Kaepernick could be the guy to help make a push for a PO spot...I got 1. Steelers, who have managed to stay relevant with a 3rd string QB. 2. Indianapolis, who has to be smarting after that loss to Miami. 3. ?? 4. ??

I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt at the time to the GM at the time Howard was moved, but was questioning why a durable, straight ahead power RB who didn't turn the ball over much was somehow a liability all of a sudden...

The teamwide mantra was they were too predictable with Howard because he's not enough of a pass catcher but this doesn't hold water for me. Nagy had no use for the guy before a single practice and wanted him gone the summer he got here. There's more to a successful passing game than RB's lining up as wide outs,Howard was the league's best chip blocker and I know the OL is weaker this year but that part of his game is missed. He's also known as one of the best at selling the fake on play action and it's not as if he's incapable of catching the ball either,he had 52 Rec's for 423 yards the two seasons before Nagy arrived.

Bad rumor that the Bears might be one of the teams looking at Kapocrap. Bears may be looking, but that’s as far as it goes, even if it’s true. Maybe just maybe this will force Trubs to concentrate more, focus more and give him a kick in the arse knowing the team may look beyond him following this season.

I'll take the W and the stretch of good play from Trubs was a welcome sight but the team fell asleep late in that game and more than likely lose if we faced Stafford.

Bad rumor that the Bears might be one of the teams looking at Kapocrap. New England has a scout going; Tom Brady isn't going to be looking over his shoulder about it. I think almost every team will send someone, just for due diligence.

Terrible game again tonight against the Rams... is this guy Nagy reverting back to the 70’s Bears.. run run pass.. punt.. Nagy runs the ball on 2nd and 10.. unbelievable.. they can’t run the ball period. The O line is terrible.. and Trubisky is still missing..

Pathetic.......... Nagy is a complete idiot.. 3rd down and 1, runs option football with a QB. Pitch back to little bitty Cohen... please stop the madness,. This guy Nagy is a complete fool, every week there’s an ex- NFL announcer hammering his play calling.

About one month ago I said the Hawks should can Bowman and JC and consider seeing what they could get for Kane/Toews to determine what a rebuild would look like. That was just a tongue in cheek suggestion that was not too far off from what I really thought. But, look what that has done for the Hawks.
So, now I suggest trading Trubisky for a draft pick and firing Nagy. That should pay off immediately. Oh, but wait, they are playing the Giants this weekend, so that won't count.

Bad rumor that the Bears might be one of the teams looking at Kapocrap. why would this be a bad rumor? he has accomplished a whole lot more than any qb we have on our roster? on a different note, my money is on Cam Newton as our qb next season. hopefully along with trading Trubisky for a draft pick in any round someone will give us for him.

Hi Vad, Putting my personal feelings about Kaepernick aside, he wasn’t good in his last few seasons, his QB rating was terrible. Plus the fact that he hasn’t played in 3 years, and is 31/32 years old. I’m I’m not looking for a patch or bandaid at QB, I’m looking for the Bears to get a Rodgers, Aikman, Brees... etc.. etc. I’m tired of not having a QB ever in our history of the Bears, it’s just ridiculous this team can’t get/draft a QB in the history of this team..

I agree, he was bad. I personally would pass, but I dunno that I would do so without at least taking a look. gotta try anything at this point. I would very much love to have a Favre/Rodgers run ASAP. we are certainly due at least one good QB it seems to me. that being said, that probably isn't happening soon enough for the current team we have assembled. imagine how much better we might be this season if we had a veteran QB. the offensive line wouldn't do us any favors, but maybe a vet gets this team in the playoffs. I have to believe the plan will be just that this offseason: shore up the o line and bring in a vet to compete with Trubisky. if 10 doesn't step up, his ass is as good as gone after next season. if he does, then maybe you've found your QB, he just needed a little more motivation...

Here is a quote from an article on the Packer beatdown by the Niners:
"By the early fourth quarter, Rodgers had 18 completions for 94 yards. That's Mitch Trubisky territory."
Trubisky is already legendary.

What's the matter----no one was excited enough about the Lions game to post? I was glad to see the Bears win as they might still be able to snag an invite to the Alamo Bowl. I would hate to see them have to go to the Redbox Bowl; or stay at home.
