Very nice T-man. I remember looking at your site early after the announcement of closing BHB was made and you did a good job since then to adapt your site to resemble BHB as much as possible. Best of luck and fun running your site.

Hello everyone. Reporting that we had a spammer post last evening, that has been dealt with. IP ban set.poster was "guest".
There is an option for me here to hide all the boards and threads from 'guests" requiring they register and log-in before viewing.
I had hesitated doing that since I figured most of them were members from the BHB boards checking this out before joining.
Let me know if I should set this now or wait and see how far we can go before spammers get unbearable.
Next the question came up about what exactly are our "rules" here. To be honest, I kept that on the back burner from the start.
I again figured we all know each other from BHB so friendly banter and heated arguments would happen. And that is good.
I didn't think swear words would be much of an issue as long as not directed at someone here in a malicious way.
My goal for here was a place for mutual respect and fun. My only objection nowadays is to religion and politics, I find these lead to loss of respect.
I consider these boards as "OURS" not mine. that's why the lack of official rules and censorship.
Now if someone wants to start a thread about rules and list some they think we need, let's have everyone sound off to their thoughts and suggestions.

I vote turn it on at this point unless you are looking to get a bunch of people on board here.
I'd add, as far as any changes, is there an option to change the quoting feature to just quoting the last person and not everyone before that person?

One could erase the original post from a quote in the BBCode mode by hi-lite and delete it. But looking if there is a plugin that gives someone the option of keeping it or not. |

now....if that "sluggo" guy or whatever his name was from the old boards who quickly started about 9 different dumb threads in "around the league..." topic....please show him the door immediately please.
while on that note....is there a minimum post count required to start your own thread?

There is no minimum count for a thread post. There is a 40 thread viewable in each category. Then it adds another page to handle more threads. Everyone can start a thread under each category and start a thread related to that. If anyone thinks of a new category I'll add it so it's a new topic. |

So, I can't be certain that ~7k is an accurate count from the Blackhawks board...but it does sound close because I joined IHN about the same time I joined the Blackhawks board. I probably should have screen shot the members there with their stats beforehand. As I know I don't have totals for merper or granada either if they show up here. |
