who else are missing from the Hawks board? like anyone who was posting during the summer offseason? Im thinking Granada, mvr, iknowpuck and yooper. would like to have those guys here as well. There was also merper as well as creature who was mentioned in another thread. Also we got 3 others who were the first to sign in here but haven't made any comments. Ebonyraptor, 1shot1goal, and puterwiz Oh yea, forgot about Merper and Creature. But Creature had been off the boards for a while, right? |

Do you all see the the tab that says 'members"? That may help on who's missing. But I'm sure they have looked and are happy where they have settled in to. I see Granada is a regular at chicitysports. EbonyRaptor and a couple of Hawksboard poster are in hockeybuzz. Ive been “promoting” this site wherever i go. lol, like in nbcsports, hockeybuzz, spectorhockey |

At one time I had Merps email address. But scanning thru old emails I can't seem to find any with him anymore. I don't remember his actual name so pretty hard to locate thru the thousands of Blackhawk emails I have. I had chatted with Granada just before the old boards went dark, and he said he was already signed up on the other board and would give it a shot there for a while, and if it didn't meet his expectations he would come over to this one. He said he's not into signing up on more then one board at a time. So hopefully at some point he'll choose to make his way over to this one. As for some of the others mentioned, like Creature and MVR, hopefully they'll get bored one day saying how much they missed the boards and do a google search and come across this one. And as for puck......I don't miss him at all! Too condescending for my liking.

Too condescending for my liking. puck was a pot stirrer alright, but it's my opinion that boards like these could use a few like him. like him or not, his comments generate a lot of replies and replies are what it's all about isn't it? while on the topic, i signed up to chicity and thought that's where i'd end up....(gotta'give thnx again to zack for reaching out.) but there really isn't much there that turns my crank to be honest. speaking mostly about their GDT's....there's a lot of regulars there that add very little imho. overall these boards are way better when you're talking about the blackhawks at least. |

I think all of these boards have their upsides and downsides, and the boards I frequent seem to attract line-minded people when it comes to a stance on the team. For instance, on this board there are people who tend to be against Stan (stated as observation, not as a judgement). On another board a lot of the people tend to praise him with equal but opposite fervor. Both boards have fans who claim to have a lot of hockey experience and ergo they feel they're more knowledgeable than most (stated as observation, not a judgement). So just choose your poison. |

Part of the problem with 16-current comes from what was done in 11-15. When do you think the core of 3 Cup teams were built? 2-5 years prior to Cup #1. Sure SB was “in charge” for Cups 2 and 3, but those were teams he inherited and was merely maintaining. The demise now has a lot to do with bonehead moves not only from 16-current, but during 11-15 as well. Now that most of the team he inherited is gone or aged, we are seeing the proof of what kind of teams he can build. Just look at the results from the massive overhaul he did just this past offseason. The guy had almost 20mil in cap space to work with and a top 4 forward group consisting of Toews, Kane, DCat, and Strome, and this is what we get. Bleh. He simply can’t hide behind the team he inherited any longer and his true abilities are showing. |

I don't think any GM could have maintained with extra cups--otherwise Shero would have tacked on a couple more after 2009--after all he had Crosby and Malkin to work with. Not to mention Pullford would have screwed it up. But that being said Maintaining != Building, and so far Bowman has no only sucked at building but it's painfully obvious he didn't have a succession plan in place other than, "Run the core into the ground." Bowman should have been out on his arse at the end of 2018 at the latest. Anyhow, sorry for the threadjack. |

They started the season like crap as well and I wasn’t around for that either so..... 🤷🏻♂️ If this team wins 75% of their remaining games, I doubt I’ll disappear, but i will admit it would be the most shocking thing I have ever season in hockey. Look, I don’t think they are as bad as their last 3 losses. But the reality is, they are probably a playoff bubble team that falls just short yet again. And that is contingent upon them staying 100% healthy because as we are seeing, when the injury bug bites, this team has no depth at all. Even after last offseason’s overhaul, they just aren’t good or deep enough. And the crappiest thing about it IMO is, it just might be because of the coach. So not only do we have a guy inept at being a GM, but his massive ego is getting in the way of this team having success on the ice as well. When will enough be enough? |

Too much sustained pressure in their own zone. Too many scoring chances from prime areas. Too many shots against. Special teams / bad break in the first was the difference. 5-on-5 they were clearly not the better team. |

If I thought for a minute that he didn't know what he was talking about,I wouldn't have engaged but he posed a tough argument and I'm sure we both thought we won every one of em!LOL! |
