Not sure how to embed the link, but basically:
"Jaime Faulkner will be the new president of business ops.
Stan Bowman becomes president of hockey ops, and remains GM.
Danny Wirtz becomes CEO."

Kinda sucks that Stan gets basically another pass. But, maybe she sees something she doesn’t like in him and casts him aside!!!

So Bob Pulford has returned in the form of Stan Bowman.
Fuck the Hawks

Calling it:
Stan, after this season if it happens gets percussively sublimated so he's only hockey ops--he'll be forced to hire a GM.
And I agree, he's the new Pully. If we ain't going to show him the door with a size-15 steel-toed boot prodding him along, we might as well get him out of the workflow.

What a job... ruin a dynasty and bury a franchise that had more playoff runs in it and get promoted!!! Wish we all had jobs where we can F up everything as bad as Stan did and get promoted. It's really, really hard to care about this franchise right now. It would be one thing if they were just bad on the ice, but the complete and utter incompetence in the front office and total clown show from Rocky and Stan is embarrassing at this point. Other than wanting to watch Kane do his magic, it's going to be very hard to watch them for a long time.

Stan should’ve be fired with Q and they had every chance to start fresh. I know I’m hopeful, but I hope they remove the GM title from him soon. Then get him out of the office all together shortly after. Even if he was just a president, that would be much better than the day to day stuff going on. We can always hope. But I’m over being upset or depressed by Stan and his inept ability to work in the field of ice hockey!!!

And why the hell are they disrespecting the retired number of Stan Mikita? After all, she was hired in 2020, not 21. It's not that I'm upset with her hiring, but this number should never be on a sweater again!
Now if they want to show Bowman with a jersey, the best number I can think of is 86

I have no idea who Jamie Faulkner is, but at least the Hawks can't be accused of hiring some recycled retread from the good ole boy club ... at least she's not Bob "mumbles" Pulford.
I know I'm the oddball because I don't share the visceral hatred for Stan with most of my fellow posters on the site. so I won't waste time fighting that battle, but I like combining the president of hockey ops and GM positions - seems like it could be more streamlined for making quick and decisive hockey operations moves.

I understand your point, in general, and if things were going well that might be OK. The way I see it, it's one less voice in the room to speak up with opposition about a trade or signing. Now, I admit, obviously it appears not many voices were winning battles with Stan in recent years anyway so not sure it matters. But I just see it as more power consolidation behind the same failure of a guy, meaning we're even farther away from getting someone new in here to turn this around.

What kind of evil hold does Scotty Bowman have in this org?
And what are Faulkner's hockey credentials? I haven't read up yet.

I haven't read up yet. the answer to your first question is at the end of the newly bumped McDonut thread..... Faulkner is very qualified to run the business side of things. I don't believe she has anything in the way of hockey credentials, but she doesn't need any with Stan running that side of things....

On top of it, Stan snookered a new 3 year deal with over a year left on the old one. So my best guess is he has his contract left to turn things around. If he doesn’t, they’ll probably go full rebuild. So the best solution now is for the core 4 to block any trade out of town, and make sure Stan gets what he deserves. Ya his coach can bench them and cut their ice time, but it’ll make the org look awful for shunning future Hall of Famers, and Stan Bowman will look totally awful and never work again in the NHL. Unless a team purposely wants to tank, and I’m not sure Stan can get them to tank properly. I dont think he’ll work in hockey again. Seriously, he can’t scout, he can’t even be an advisor to hockey opps. He knows zero about hockey!!!

'THE KING IS DEAD......LONG LIVE THE KING' The biggest development here and it's one I've predicted for months is 'Prince Daniel's' ascension to King.......errrr.....I mean CEO. Rockwell must have enough to do with his other business empires at his age and he obviously hand picked his son to run his hockey team. I scoffed at the 'interim' tag immediately but I just thought he'd get the president title permanently,I didn't see the CEO title coming and that's a whopper of a title. The closest thing to a credential to hold this job was what I saw mentioned in an article "he was a liquor executive who was on the periphery of the team the last few years".......well,there ya go.
Stan Bowman doesn't only remain the GM,his new title is also a fairly big deal and it assures there are no hockey people above him.........good grief!
I'm sure Jamie Faulkner has the credentials to be a VP of business and marketing but the president title is lofty here as well. I wish the young woman nothing but the best in her new endeavor, keeping the consecutive sell out streak going will take some new age thinking IMO.
Blood is thicker than water my friends!

Absolutely....this is a power grab and consolidation disguised as a diversification...I don't give a flying flip about land declarations, youth hockey outreach, etc (I do, but not as a priority over the nuts and bolts of running the actual hockey team.) As has been stated, there are fewer and fewer voices to challenge Blowman now; and as hockey operations President, he's his own boss now as GM! This whole debacle reminds me of Horrible Bosses... Stan Promotes Himself

And in all seriousness; no disrespect meant to the lady, but who the f$%# is Jaime Faulkner? What experience in running a professional hockey team in any capacity does she have? Faulkner helped found E15, a consulting strategy and analytics company, in 2013. She worked with 200 clients including Fortune 500 companies, pro sports teams, resorts and entertainment entities to develop systems predicting fan behavior. Her husband, Colin, is the Chicago Cubs’ executive vice president of sales and marketing. This is all I found but another question is,what experience does 'Prince Daniel' have running an entire NHL franchise?

I feel sooooo sad for Kane and Toews and Keith. Tears are welling in my eyes just thinking about the agony they must be going through knowing they are locked into a terrible fate with no options of escape and only 6 pence in their pocket. Oh dear ... I think I need to lay down and have a good cry.

Turning a 49yro doormat into a dynasty was quite the feat and the players involved should have been compensated appropriately. Toronto and Edmonton both find themselves in similar situations with several young players who make as much or more than our highly accomplished cup winners do.......lets see if these highly paid, young players can do for their teams what our greats did for ours.

Now let's see how long it takes before Bowman gets Danny fired and takes over as CEO, President, GM, and eventually head coach, maybe even starting goalie
