I hardly recognize any of the names in Rockford any more.
They're all up with the Hawks instead of where they should be.

Nice to see Namilov get another win, Entwistle with another helper and Regula score with Teply getting an assist. And with 1g-1a, McLaughlin now had 19pts in 22gms 👍

Soderlund and Franson both scored in the shootout and they only needed 2 shooters. What's good to see is all of the point getters in regulation and OT are all young Hawks prospects. I don't mean to leave Soderlund out; it's just that his goal won't show up in his stats. If he could only do that during games. Edit: Soderlund put this shootout goal in almost the exact same place he did with his other shootout goal.

That second G.R. goal was totally goalie interference. But they beat the baby Wings, all good.

He also scored the same way on Rask when Rockford played the Bruins in an exhibition game.

I remember Kurashev doing that last year when the Hawks started in Europe. youtu.be/fkeAmTYe230Hagel and Beaudin also on the ice. The other thing about this game I remember was Pastrnak laying out Krys. Pasternak is an opportunistic headhunter who whines when he gets hit.

Yeah no reason to watch the highlights of that game, Tomkins was in net for all 6 without Namilov or Morris backing up.
Barratt and Altybarmakian both had fights, smaller guys but they're feisty.

It was nice to see Altybarmakyan get a goal and Moberg, Krutil and Chalupa get assists. In the previous game it was nice to see Phillips get two assists, along with Slavin and Teply. The negative part was of the nine total goals in the last two games, AA's goal was the only one by a Hawk prospect; it would have been nice to see a few more by prospects. Although it hasn't been an easy year for them. Would it be safe to assume most of the turnover on the roster for next season will be with the vets.

Yeah it would've been nice to see more goals from the prospects. But the guys on D that you mentioned made big strides in their progression. Especially Phillips and Krutil, they were in the last draft and only because of Covid were they eligible to play in AHL. But Teply was the biggest disappointment, maybe because it was only his second season in North America and going from the WHL to pro hockey in the AHL was to much. Hopefully he finds the net more next season. Soderlund has good tools but needs a toolbox, in the highlights of the last home game he had a great chance but couldn't finish, close to mid 20's so next season he needs to stepup. Altybarmakian has a crazy last name and he plays the same way with a big smile. The Russian grew on me this season mainly because he was in 2 fights and plays hard and goes to the net, good first season and hopefully he keeps improving to become a more consistent goal scorer. Slavin started out strong after his college career was over but faded, I'm sure he'll keep progressing because he's like his older brother, who I'd love to see the Hawks go after. Not a good season overall though so I'm sure Pirri and the other older guys will be gone, the mid 20 guys like McLaughlin plus the many young guys can grow together so the turnover won't be as dramatic as last offseason.

I’m happy for Moberg. I’m not even sure if he was signed or still playing on a PTO. But he played a lot of games and ended up a plus player on a team that didn’t have many.

Not sure how many games a PTO is but I'm sure Moberg exceeded it, Hawks should give him an ELC. And yeah it was nice that he got his first pro goal in the last game, plus an assist the game before. And Teply got the primary assist with 2020 pick Yetman with the 2nd apple.

From Athletic '• The Blackhawks will lose the NHL rights to defenseman Roope Laavainen, a 2017 fourth-round pick, and defenseman Cole Moberg, a 2019 seventh-round pick, unless signed before June 1. It doesn’t sound as if the Blackhawks will be offering either player an NHL contract. It wouldn’t be surprising if they attempted to bring back Moberg on an AHL contract to give him a further look. He drew some positive reports with his play in Rockford this season.'

I'm pretty sure OTH had said Morris should return over a couple of the other G's. So it looks like Rockford will at least have Morris and the new Swede, Soderblom. I'm not sure what Nalimov's status is; didn't the AHL cancel last season not long after he had signed? If you omit Commeso and Basse, I can't help but think if the Hawks really want to develop one or two G prospects in the minors, they aren't going to develop if they keep four G's on the roster. There aren't enough starts to go around for four goalies to get enough playing time. About four G's, I should have added; right now it appears Rockford will have Morris, Soderblom, Nalimov and Tomkins. Though Tomkins isn't really a Hawks G 'prospect'. When I said there aren't enough starts to go around for four goalies, the same could pretty much be said about three goalies. A 60 game schedule would mean only 20 starts for each G if they played equally. It's like slicing a pie into pieces; a bigger piece for one person means a smaller piece for someone else. You have to play to develop. In net, the Hawks seem bottom heavy. Not quite enough at the NHL level and too many at the minor league level.

we still hold his nhl rights. Trade his rights for a mid to late pick, or let him stay in Russia, doesn't matter cause he's not playing in Chicago. Good move getting the young Swede to play with Morris. Auburn will be the Fuels starter and fill in if there's an injury. Or maybe Commesso or Basse go pro.
