Darling isn't winning the net any time soon and Tomkins looks like he took a step back, but Morris could be part of the future, he's only 24 and this is his first pro season after 4yrs in college and looked good in the Hogs first win. .941 save percentage in 3gms is a good start Namilov isn't having a good year in Russia so maybe he realizes his stock is dropping and he has no leverage, plus he's turning 28 this month, it's now or never to come to North America. I thought Darling was released by the Hogs?

Pirri and Carlsson are going to Rockford, great for the Hogs getting their all time leading scorer back, plus Carlsson was voted their best defenseman twice.

Good to see Pirri playing, his place should be the veteran presence on that team. With junior teams starting up and AHL vets like Beaudin and Carlsson back I wonder if it’s time to cut bait on some of these young defenders, Krutil might have a future down the road but he’s over his head right now. Back to Europe for him. Philips should go back to the OHL if they ever start up. Maybe Moberg has an overage year left but I think he’s the one to keep for now. Give him his AHL contract and ride Franson, Beaudin, Carlsson, Kalynuk, Regula, Osipov and Krys plus Moberg and see if they can get some consistency. A lot of shots and no goaltending to speak of doesn’t make it easy to develop players.

F'n shame to see Delia fall apart,I feel for the guy! Maybe A few more games were in order before cutting Darling. Beaudin and Carlsson should help the Hogs big time because they helped the big club and I hope Carlsson doesn't go a bit stale approaching 24.

That gives Beaudin something like 6 points in 3 games down there. That was also a nice snipe by Chalupa. Delia rebounds.

MAJOR kudos to Colin Delia, the ability to bounce back and put some bad games behind him is possibly the most important trait for a young goaltender or any goaltender for that matter. The other two guys were just better but maybe CD coulda got another start or two after losing to the top teams in the division with the team in front of him still trying to figure things out.

Altybarmakyan the tank may have what it takes to make it. Huge motor. Plus just coming over is a huge step. I’m curious to see how his game develops as he gets used to the league.

lots of chatter about alty-b on twitter. all good stuff. he's turning heads here already. i see him and nalimov were team mates last year in the "K". maybe has something to do with him coming over for another try. the replay of his game winner in the hi-lite reel doesn't do the goal justice. he actually held the puck much longer than that replay showed. very strong on the puck. i'll post the replay that was on twitter if i can find it again.

The new AA is someone I've wondered about too. I haven't found a whole lot about him though I did read he had speed and liked to go to the net, which he did on his first goal. When you watch the whole sequence, his OT winner was a highlight reel goal by itself.

His first goal was highlight reel as well, I've only seen him at the World Juniors and he wasn't used for his offense but he worked his ass off every shift and played strong defensive hockey, bonus he's finding the net with the Hogs. Barratt scored a nice goal as well, he'll be one of the Hawks centers one day.

Why is Pirri up here on the taxi squad? He’ll never play up so send him where he might matter. i hear you, but a few guys on the hawks get exposed to covid somehow, you could deplete your taxi squad in a hurry. i guess that's why delia is back up. they're just being extra precautious i think.

IMHO it's better to have Pirri on the taxi squad and let the kids play in the A. Who would you send from the Hogs to be sitting instead of him?

They have Johnson up and they’ve shown they’re not afraid to run seven dmen in a game plus Strome’s return is imminent and will free up another forward spot. I believe Pirri should be used as the veteran forward presence just as Franson was brought in to shepherd the young defence.

Just like you mentioned with Johnson - I'm sure that he likes to be around the team, but for his development would be better to play regularly in the A. The same goes with Strome's return - one of the forwards will go to the taxi squad and be idle.

Maybe the FO fears Pirri will be out there giving floating exhibitions, that and finishing crips are his only attributes.

Shots 42-20. Yeah, that’s the Hawks system. Kidding aside, Chalupa with his fourth, maybe he’s getting the hang of the league. Hawks Euro scouts have a pretty good record as of late, they must have seen something there. No Altybarmakyan, healthy scratch or something else? I’m also wondering about Teply, they said something about conditioning after an injury but that seems like an awfully long time ago.
