Loved Hagel, but wondering if this thread should now be moved to other teams news? Maybe same with Fleury thread?

Loved Hagel, but wondering if this thread should now be moved to other teams news? Maybe same with Fleury thread? just speaking for myself? i'm over fleury, it was the right move. but for a young guy like hagel who won over so many hearts in such a short time here? that was most likely the right move too but imho it needs a bit more time to get past. anyways, we'll get there naturally like what happens every trade. : )

Hagel has one goal in the playoffs...The Blackhawks won that trade by a country mile.

I do not believe that was the major reason the Bolts traded for Hagel. They needed good players on a low cap hit as they will have some tough decisions coming up here shortly and will lose more players both at the NHL roster and AHL levels. The Hawks will really win this trade IF KD can cash in on those 2 first round picks.

all discussions concerning 2018 WJC team canada sex assault allegations has been moved to the NHL sector of the boards. Weren't you the one who brought it up in here lol As for the trade, the Bolts core have played a lot of playoff hockey since 2015, I thought Ron Maclean said in game 1 that they've been to the Conference finals 6 times in the last 8yrs. Hopefully they have some off years and the two firsts aren't low picks. I love Hagel but 1 goal in the playoffs and missing time to injuries doesn't look that good, yes he works his ass off but the playoffs are a different beast and being 5'11" 170lbs doesn't help.

I think Hagel held his own last night against the Avs. He pestered Makar and did an overall pretty good job forechecking. He fits in well with the hardworking guys there - better than he did here because our guys generally do not have that overdrive gear.
