Rempe hit last game with Devils The Siegenthaler suspension? Should have been suspended after the Bastien hit as well. Rempe is a sideshow clown. As if they Rags weren’t easy enough to hate before. yeah. this was pretty much a guaranteed brawl tonight after Rempe's performance the last time they played.

Yeah what a dumb rule, so 8 players were kicked out of the game.

Yeah what a dumb rule, so 8 players were kicked out of the game. Yeah classic NHL you dont want this kinda stuff in the game but its the lead on every hockey station and top 3 on any sport station.

If they wanted to fight, they should have all met up in the parking lot and have a donnybrook out there.

That was the craziest start to any game I've ever seen? Now that U heard the story to its build up it makes perfect sense.

Panger had a front row seat for it. I'd love to know what was said between the coaches. I did lip-read a "Go F yourself".

I never liked Laviolette -- why are you bitching when you know what Rempe did the last game. You knew they were going to challenge Rempe, this is how it goes -- yet he blows a gasket like the fake tough-guy that he is. He can spare me. I like Rempe for the most part, but he's arguably one of the most dirty (I'd say borderline, but I digress) players in the league, so why the hell is Laviolette initiating a shouting match when the opposing team decides, "you know what, enough is enough, we're starting our enforcer" ? It's just silly and beyond hypocritical on Laviolette's part, he's always been a clown and obviously still is. Check out his moronic response to the incident: russianmachineneverbreaks.com/2024/04/04/travis-green-on-peter-laviolette-screaming-at-him-after-line-brawl-i-have-no-idea-why-peter-would-have-been-upset/

Not sure how long they've been tracking hits in this league but 16 is a lot.

kane looks like his hip's are the last of his worries. 19th goal. he looked like vintage peter mahovlich splitting the D there.
on a sidenote...if i counted right, d-cat only has 1 goal and 6 assists in his last 18 games. bad time of year for him to be going cold if you're a wings fan. in the 69 games before his 18 game slump, he had 23 goals and 30 assists. big drop-off in his numbers.

According to several rankings their prospect pool is #1 rated. Still have not figured out the GT and their D has [2) #1 overall picks and #4 overall, have some decent forwards and still not able to make playoffs. I would submit they actually took a step back this year.Buidling a team is not always perfect.

Sabres more than likely will have to part with one of those 1st overall dmen. They need to get a top forward in there. Personally, I think Dahlin would be a better trade candidate. I believe he’d fetch a far higher value than Power as of now. And Power will more than likely be much better in 3-5 years. They should have decent cap space. And more coming this year. I seen them with only about 62 million committed. I believe they’ve got 10 players to sign. But most are UFA and I doubt they go after them. I’d think they bring kids in.
On a side note. Maybe the Hawks could get a 1st rounder from them or even move up in the draft by taking on Skinners deal. He has 3 years left at 9 million. Maybe give the Sabres a 2024 2nd pick. Hawks get Skinner and a 2024 first round pick. 3 years won’t kill the Hawks and Skinner may actually put up numbers with the Hawks!!!

Sabres currently at #9 with only 3 games left would would love to get 2 picks in the top 8-10 this year. KD has the assets, just not sure Sabres need cap relief.

They’ll need cap space to get players. Maybe the Leaves realize they fucked up and can’t afford Marner? There’s a litany of other players that will be available too. Maybe they trade Dahlin or Power for Marner in a sign and trade deal? Marner gets his 12 million, for 8 years, and leaves get that #1 dman they’ve always coveted. Sabres have space.
Dahlin’s new deal kicks in next year from 6 million to 11. Power’s new deal kicks in from 895k to 8.35 million. So that’s 12 million more in those two players alone. So they had 25 million. But 10 players to sign or fill in for. So the cap space is running out very quickly!!!

looks like it's time for arizona to piss or get off the pot. There was an interview Friedman did with Ryan Smith (I believe that’s the fella). He’s a tech billionaire. He has told the NHL he will pay for everything and does not need public funds. He wants a team in the worst way. It works for the NHL too. A lot of people wanted Quebec to get a team. The conferences will be uneven. Staying in the west is perfect. Salt Lake City looks beautiful. I think Arizona will fail. It’s just time. I’m all for giving a chance. But the NHL have given Arizona ample time to get shit done. It is what it is!!!

Because the salary-cap is what you make of it. How in the hell could a cap-strapped Tampa Bay figure out how to bury Seabs' LTIR money for three years in a row and we couldn't?

after the 9-3 drubbing against montreal, torts was surprisingly subdued and went out of his way to almost praise the team's play. to be fair, they did outshoot montreal 36-30 and neither flyer goalie could stop a beachball that night. (they finished with .692 and a .706 save percentages) but it seemed to me torts was starting to see the error of his ways in his public tirades and pulled the reins back on his mouth big time. many think when he healthy scratched their captain (of just 34 days) sean couturier back in march that the players weren't happy about it. the flyers were ticking along nicely up to that point going 34-26-8, a .559 save %. since march 19th when the couturier was sat, they've gone 3-6-3 (.375) and seem to have pissed away a playoff spot. losing carter hart definitely stung the team. he was the only goalie (of 5 this season) over .900%, although he was just a rather average .906% when he was forced to leave. and normally it seems tortorella often pushes the right buttons with his lineup decisions and post game tirades, but he might have messed this one up.

wow! who could have predicted this??!
honestly, i could care less. any team who can legally bend the rules to their team's advantage (especially in the playoffs) would be crazy not to. and i'm not saying that because we did the same thing. (at least i don't think i'm not). : )
