My prediction pretty much impossible now. Hawks would need to go 0 - 22 - 4 the rest of the way to match. Wait till you see the magic mess after the TDL. If Kane stays, I think he hits 80 points now and Hawks pick 8th!!! That looks to be pretty close to right on. double sigh. |

IMO,Kane's lackadaisical play most of this year is because he know's more W's than absolutely necessary is not in the plan and engaging less could keep him healthier at the TDL. His recent play is an audition for suitors and showing he can still turn it on should up his value. We all hope for a good trade return but if he stays and other vets are moved(ANY TIME NOW!),he'd easily revert to lackadaisical and disengaging in an effort for more losses and to stay healthy for his next deal......here or elsewhere. JMO. |

If he doesn't waive his NMC he'll probably sign a short deal with the Hawks, so why not shut it down and take care of that hip and let the Hawks struggle in hopes they land Bedard. |

The best way to keep to the tanking is to trade Kane or tell Kane that we are going to re-sign him next season. Because if he’s not traded and KD tells him that he wont be re-sign, Kane might be pi55ed off and will most likely play better. Also, because he has to show the league that he still deserve top dollars during free agency.

Also, because he has to show the league that he still deserve top dollars during free agency. I thought the best way to keep to the tanking was 'trade everything that ain't nailed down'. Still waiting on that because not a single veteran was traded at last year's TDL,or last summer(more were added) or so far this year(another was added).....six days and counting. C Jones obviously stays on the roster as long as S Jones is here,Murphy,McCabe,Johmson,Tinordy and now Zaitsev isn't the not nailed down,rebuilding D-core I'd imagined. Johson and Tinordy probably walk for nothing and that's what they're worth and Mitchell's gone one way or another too,but C Jones probably stays and S Jones,Murphy,McCabe and Zaitsez are all signed. Unless some moves are made,there's no room for young D-men again next year either. |

i'm going to go 24 wins 47 losses and 11 overtime losses for a tidy .360 points percentage and 59 points. good for second worst ahead of arizona. edit: ch-ch-ch-changes. 18 wins, 53 losses and 11 o/t losses. Well you had the points down,now we need a Columbus win or at least an overtime game and they will indeed finish 31st. Arizona ruined your potential trifecta! |

A 28-42-12 team that finished 27th with 68 points loses DeBrincat,Strome,Kubalik and Dach and their 87 goals/184 points last year and replaces that with AA,Domi and Blackwell and their 32 goals/71 points last year,MAF with Mrazek and deHAAN's 4th best 172 blocks with Johnson. I have to wonder what Kane's #'s look like w/o a single,consistant goal scorer to set up and nobody but JT to set him up IF they play together but I have to think both will be looking for #'s in their contract years.......if that even matters. I see 20-25 W's and I'll predict 58 points when it's all said n done. Close.....you'd have had the points if not for the OT in the final game! |
