Thanks! Honestly, he picked that up really quickly. I posted a video of it in the NHL hockey talk forum (I believe). Or maybe it was fantasy league? I forget. But the skill today is unreal. I haven’t seen another kid do it. The ref congratulated him after the game. He said that he seen many attempt it, but never get it. And the best part was he was in motion behind the net and was going almost full speed when he did it. Personally, I love the skilled game. It’s very fun to watch. Anyways, here’s the video of it. My buddy took the video but he was filming his kid. But he still got it!!! youtube.com/channel/UCHpemyrHCVlMf6av1TEJqAgVery jealous T as a dad of 2 girls there were just weekends of dance competition and show choir . Would not trade it but…. My daughter just started playing. We’re at the rink now. 7:30 am starts. Not very fond of those. But the smiles on their face are worth the weekends of no sleep. Last night my boy got the GWG. We had 3 kids out of the lineup. But still managed to pull her off. 6-2 on the year. Luckily the schedule doesn’t have us playing till next Friday. So hopefully we get some kids back. There’s a part of me that doesn’t want my daughter to be high level. The travel and everything else becomes taxing. Even if it’s just house league for her, I’d be happy!!!

My nephew plays for the Dells Ducks in Wisconsin. My sister in law joined Hockey TV and gave my wife the account number and password so we tried it out yesterday for his game. It was actually pretty cool and it was nice to see him play on the big screen even though we're out of state. There were tons of games and leagues listed and it's a good option for peeps that can't be there to watch the games.
Edit: Oh, and it's available at the Amazon app store on any smart TV.

The one people use around here costs like 30$ a month. So not many do it. What’s the cost of this one you use? I’m guessing we’d only use it to see maybe 5-7 games a year. Kinda a lot to spend on not many games to see!!!

pretty interesting video i thought.
just behind the scenes stuff but still neat to watch.
idk how good other nhl teams are making these videos, but i reckon the hawks are right up there with the best.

Looks like with Luke what you see is what you get and I would think the players respect that. No doubt he’s learning too but having played in the league the way he did is a plus.

In HOSSA'S book, the forward was written by coach Q. I wonder if Q will be allowed to be there on the 20th? It'll be interesting to see if Keith and Seabs are there too now that they work for other Orgs and CC too after getting the boot and anybody know WTF happened to Sharp?

Seabs may as well be, too. I don't imagine it would be an issue at all for any of the players to be there. Q, on the other hand, well I don't see him be allowed to attend.

I wonder what CC makes of the Org these days but CC's only an afterthought at this point.

Thanks to all the vets! Canadian and American. The toughest guys in the world. It’s Remembrance Day here in Canada. We all wear poppies to show our support of the vets and the ones who serve.
There’s a saying here. “If you don’t stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them”.!!!

Domi has a few years on Dach. He's probably mentally tougher than dach and can learn faster. I know the older I get the quicker I learn. The older I get, the quicker I forget, lol. Kirby Dach seems to be doing a little better. They have him playing a wing.

That might be the crux of it; him playing wing. Plus, I think the change of scenery helps. But, looking back on it: Should the 'hawks have wasted a 3OA pick on a large winger? I say no.

But the Hawks have to take the brickbats for his failure in that dept. I think they probably thought he would learn as he went along. They could have stressed the importance from the get go and had him practicing that skill for at least a half hour each practice. More if he didn't make improvements. But there's not much point in dwelling on it...it's past history as long as the development coaches have learned their lesson.

True, but I'm still sore on the damage the previous GM did because he though he was the smartest guy in the room. I get the feeling it was less on the development coaches and more on SB rushing a guy so he could look like a genius. Plus, I also got the feeling that even last season once SB and JC were out on their asses, if we moved Dach to Winger it might not have worked for him. Ahh well; sometimes guys just need chances of scenery. Look at Rene Børk. Look at Patrick Sharp. I think that was the case with Dach and I wish him well for the habs. But I'm not about to crown the trade away for Dach a loss until we see what Nazar and G. Hayes do.

Not many people here who don't have issues with SB. In my case, it started with his mailroom sabotage of Dale Tallon. And went downhill from there.

If he ends up on the wing, the Hawks likely lose out. Dach is turning into a two-way 60-point winger with size. He is not a power guy yet, but he could eventually embrace the role. Nazar is not likely going to score more, and he lacks Dach's physical size. But at least by trading Dach, management is pushing the stroller down the road. By the time this team becomes competitive, Dach is entering his UFA years and likely too expensive to keep (smart teams don't spend big on the winger position). So in effect, his continued presence here during his cost-controlled years would marginally improve the present roster but not really help long term. They'd likely be trading him at some point, regardless, unless he eventually found his game as a centre.

Both of the newest franchises, Seattle and Vegas, have much better teams than the original six Hawk team. Just goes to show how much the latter organization has deteriorated.

They'd likely be trading him at some point, regardless, unless he eventually found his game as a centre. It does kick the can down the road and is what was needed because I truly think Dach would not have gone anywhere for the 'hawks--not as a center nor as a wing. I think with him the damage was done and for his career's sake he needed to be off the 'hawks. I don't think he would be replicating his performance on the Habs if he played for the 'hawks this season--or any future seasons. While I do concede a lot of this is speculation, I think what we could reasonably project Dach to be for the 'hawks has to be the barometer against which the trade is measured, not so much what he becomes for the 'habs. There is no guarantee that Dach would have had the same production on the 'hawks team that he has for the Habs this year--winger or center.

I recall back when Dach made the team @18(WHY?),many of us felt he'd be best served on JT's wing for a year or two mostly because he was YET to win half his draws at any level. Taking the occasional FO on his strong side might have given him some confidence and NOT having a center's defensive responsibilities so early undoubtedly would have resulted in better offensive numbers. It was rumored he didn't want to play wing here........why did that matter? Montreal's GM made sure to mention 'they had a different developmental path' for the 21yro after the trade and it looks like either or all of St-Louis,Lapointe and Lecavalier convinced the kid to play where he's best suited.
Wouldn't a new and more capable HC here have been a fresh start? If 21 is too old for the current rebuild plan......why am I still paying attention?LOL!

Sometimes players need a *complete* change of scenery...not just a partial one. I cannot prove it as anything more than a gut feeling, but I really think Dach needed that complete change of scenery. I really don't think he'd be sitting on 4G/16P if he stuck with the 'hawks as they are now. Even if he was able to dent the twine as well as he has been for the habs, his point total would suffer because the 'hawks team O distills goatloads and is dead fucking last in the league as of this post.
